I have no idea how they judge creativity and marketing skills based on how pretty the team looks , but it's a part of the rules which we were not told of until we reached this stage. Our competitors are final year students who belong to a university which recruits nearly 50times the total number of students in our uni yearly. How to open a successful thread?
i) get BANFAN, Alf and rinathq to disagree on the topic. The resulting argument would potentially last forever
ii) ask Zee to write down a thousand ideas and then find a topic which isn't on the list

thats not golda chingri, thats just chingry, possibly spicy. i dont like normal shrimp. it has to be lobster, and not any, not from maine not from thailand but from bangladesh... not too big like maine, not too small to call it shrimp but just the right size. and it has to be cooked certain way as well..
gavy/onions has to be pasty..tinged sweet taste without the loss of spice taste.
its like me wanting padmar shorishar ilish and u offering me fried shad fish. you cant fool a bangali guy on food...or with shad fish.
man, when my family were looking for a bride for me, bride family knew knew we were coming with positive news but they cooked shad fish and told us it was ilish. we got offended and left....that amrriage never happened....

you mean the ones from Khulna? I remember Athar Ali Khan was talking about it for a second in the 2nd Test match when the cameraman decided show "life around khulna town"

Golda chingri is NOT lobster.. It is a particular breed of large fresh water prawns. Known as Macrobrachium rosenbergii - Giant River Prawns (Golda chingri, Mocha chingri, Bharo chingri, Bara chingri, Chooan chingri, Mota chingri, Shala chingri)

rifat i am not sure exactly where in bd those come from. good question. i will try to find out. but they are a bit larger than bangladeshi prawn. however bd prawn can also be cooked similarly giving somewhat similar taste...but doesnt match up to their larger cousins. in bangladeshi restaurants i think they use the bd prawns smaller ones to cook and sell each piece of chingri for 10 usd.
i havent seen the bigger ones being cooked lately, many many years ago, maybe 5. but its is available in grocery stores. the raw ones, they are approximately 5 pieces in 2 lbs bag..costing around 13 dollars a lbs.
i tried it with bigger lobster from maine to cook it that way, doesnt match even 50 pc of the taste. those shrimpms leg extentions are just too big and feels more like crabs eating...

Maybe? Maybe1? I know I am right. SO what else is new?
Rifat is right about Khulna - native to the waterways around the Padma and south, now mostly farmed in the coastal areas but that too is getting hampered by the increase salination and the farms are switching to sea-water shrimps.
