It's cool Navo and Al-Sagar are gonna meet in Vienna. I imagine they will have so much to talk about. BC members,BC drama, international cricket and Bd cricket.
I'm very envious. Some of the people I really want to meet in BC are Sohel, Zeeshan, iDumb. There are more of course.

I don't want to diss Ian's thread/idea so I'll just post it here. First of all its a great idea. We need something like this in BD. But its not going to work by collecting donation from a handful of people. We have a board for these kinds of things. Obviously they don't care enough to do anything about it.
Having said all that, just how far exactly can a player improve from a 2/3 week coaching session? Ian was with our team for roughly 4-6 months. We saw improvement while he was there, but all that seemed to disappear soon afterward. Developing a fast bowler is a long process, it won't happen in a matter of weeks. Even if he is able to raise $5000+ to hold a fast bowling clinic for few weeks, will that really make that much of a difference in these players career unless they can get this same sort of coaching for a long period of time. After paying for his accommodation and all other expenses I don't know how much will be left for spending toward a fast bowling clinic. He has to give some of that money to him as well, that is his occupation after all and its not fair to expect him to do it for free. After all that even if he can do it for a month. What happens after 1 month? They go back to doing it all on their own. I can't see anything big coming out of something like this.
But there will always be doubters like me. If Ian can get this to work more power to him. When it comes to our cricket, I love being proven wrong.

U pom gana? my gana broda, why u misunderstand me ?
Na bhai , ami proud feel kortesi na ja ami onek borolok , amar onek poisha asey. Kintu amar kasey ami money kori biye korar jonno jotheshto poisha asey.
Ami er jonnoi middle class familyr meye khujtesi jatey eto goyna-gati ditey hobey na. Islamic waytey bola asey jey you give your wife gold during marriage as much as you can afford. The objective of the gold is that if you face financial difficulty in life, then your wife gives you the gold to sell and help you out. So, it is actually an investment and your wife is the bank manager!
If you are a smart guy, you also tell your wife's family upfront that you do not believe in wasting so much money in gold and that you will give as much gold as you can upon your shamortho and you will also give anything to the family members that they wish. Also, don't demand things from your wife's family .. like I want a car , a bike. Just say that you do not need anything and that they are already giving you the greates gift they can give - their daughter, your wife. Both families want you two to be happy and having a wedding that proves to be a huge financial burden will make your new family life difficult. - Source : Few of my friends who have got married recently

Heard on the news this morning that there's going to be a bunch of hartals here and there. Unfortunately for me, the day I'm landing in Bangladesh, it's going to be hartal. Going from airport to Dada's house will be interesting......

Homemade peethas starting from 'Patishapta' to 'Bhapa peetha', 'Chitoi peetha' & beyond on a chilly yet pleasant Winter evening. Worth.

Read somewhere that Salahuddin (Football president) said that he targets to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. That is some bold statement.

At present it looks like Al-Sagar bhai might be coming into Vienna just around the time I will leave! That would be unfortunate
I have had the pleasure of meeting Sohel bhai, Rabz bhai and some others on BC during the last few months I was in Dhaka and hopefully I'll meet them all again in the new year
