We have lacking on big hitting.
It's gonna be testing time for both the Barbados batters and our spinners.

The thing is our boys are still learning T20's..they still have 2 grasp the concept of how 2 play T20's which they havent done yet..its good that they now put in a league which will definitely help but it will take some time..with that said some people think we will lose 2 barbados which could happen..remember a lot of the WI players come from barbados..so they are a tough team and the Carribean really love T20 cricket..their style is big hitting and that doesnt bode well for our pacers..the thing is though they will struggle big time against our spin and we should end up winning against them..

Off thats your aspiration.I also wish that your high hopes to come true. But the fact,BCB is a total crap administration and FC domestic structure is very poor. Its possible to become a decent limited over match player in this circumstance but is it possible to produce test quality after playing 6 or 7 FC games a year?

Kieron Pollard plays for Trinidad where they have many good 20/20 players, I will say that they are the best, because in the Champions league last year in India, they beat very good teams to reach the finals.

The current NCL T20 is not long enough for these players to get the hang of this concept of 20/20 mode, each team should have played 10 games to reach the semi finals. I guess the time was too short, also, many players were suffering from burn out from a hectic schedule from January of this year
I feel the series against England drained them, then they had to fly to Sharjah, acclimatize, then return to BD for this competition. Not enough time for a training camp.

Because of the volcano in Iceland I dont think that many teams will arrive in the WI by the 26th or 27 th April, no air travel in Europe or in and out of London for the next 5 days, so many warm up games may be cancelled. I think that BD is due to leave on the 25th April.

Heard on BBC news that normal air travel will be in operation by Thursday, so that is good news for all the teams that have to change flights in London for WI.

There is a long drought in the WI and it looks like the pitches will be slower than usual,
so spin bowling and how spin bowling is played will be unusually important. The conditions might lead to low-scoring games, which is a departure from the norm and could prove to be hard work for the fast bowlers. So BD spin bowlers should do well here.

ICC World Twenty20 West Indies 2010
Tigers Leave for Caribbean Tonight

Shakib target Pak scalp

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan (L) speaks to coach Jamie Siddons ahead of a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said that it would be tough but not impossible to beat Pakistan in the ICC World Twenty20, which will get underway on April 30 in West Indies.
The young skipper was high on hope while taking with reporters in an official press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur prior to their departure for the Caribbean tonight.
"I think there is a possibility for us to beat Pakistan because right at the moment Pakistan cricket is unsettled with different kinds of crisis and injury problems. So we have to do something in the first match if we want to play the second round but that doesn't mean we play bad cricket against other group opponents Australia," said Shakib.
Bangladesh will play their first group match against Pakistan on May 1 and second and last group match against mighty Australia on May 5 and before that they will play two preparation games against Barbados XI (on April 27) and England (on April 28).
Coach Jamie Siddons also echoed his captain's sentiment but said that his boys need to play their best if they want to beat Pakistan, the defending champions.
"Both Pakistan and Australia are tough opponents but realistically we have a chance against Pakistan but in that case we need to play well," said Siddons.
The Australian expressed his satisfaction over his team's preparation before the tournament and said that they have still one-week time and two practice matches to tune up well before the tournament proper.
"The preparation is good and I must say it was much better than the last occasion. The players got the opportunity to play two tournaments--PCL and NCL recently, which is really good. Some players missed out on runs but I think the wicket was low and slow. But definitely the boys will get consistent pace while playing in Barbados," said Siddons.
The Bangladesh coach was also satisfied with the return of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who got back his confidence after playing the NCL T20 tournament.
"As I know he (Mashrafe) lost his weight by seven-eight kg. A ninety percent fit Mashrafe is even good for us," he added.
Captain Shakib was also upbeat with his team's preparation before the mega tournament.
"Nothing could have been better than playing matches before any tournament. I think our preparation is good this time and most importantly we have been playing good cricket for last few months and hope it will continue in West Indies and as well as in the England tour," said the all-rounder.
It is told that Bangladesh is yet to learn the craft of the latest version of the game and they have a lack of batsmen who can mesmerize the opponents.
"True we don't have players like Symonds (Andrew) and Adam Gilchrist but still we have the strength and ability to do something in the T20 game also," said Shakib.
