Default So what changes would you like to see Vs Australia ?

i am deeply hurt by the continuous teasing loses as with my other fellow countrymen I am sure. But We indeed have to move on and look ahead. The game for us isnt over yet.So what changes would you like to see for the next game ?

I personally would like Mush out and Johurul In (heard he can keep as well ? GREAT)
you might want to replace imrul with aftab but i really dont see a point. They both would fail for different reasons (although i am not accountable for any surprises like ash pulled one today). Aftab on my book isnt even a cricket player at all whereas imrul, T20 is just not his piece of cake.
We seriously need to give razzak a long break before he earns himself a place back again and its true not just this tournament but should be considered for upcoming ODIS and tests as well. He has been constantly in poor form. I hope you noticed the amount of deliveries that ran down the leg side and a simple wristy sweep can give away boundaries. Rasel should take his place. He could be handy with his perfect line and length.

I think thats about the best team we could have with this squad at this current situation. What do you guys think ?

P.S TO eliminate all confusions, I didnt think Ash will play such a great innings not because i have doubt on his abilities but the thought came to naturally after his reputation of failures. Infact i really think Bangladesh would be helped to a great extent if Ash can get back on his form. We really need a reliable no 3 batsman and theres no one better than him in our camp. The way he played today, he needs to keep it up.

you know, i dont disagree with you. Yes my problem is him batting at no 5,6 he just cant come out at that time because thats when the fireworks are expected all the time.Plus we are looking a replacement for imrul so why not ..

In addition if mushfiq can open (which is very unlikely. i wish, but the board isnt so smart as we are unfortunately :P ) then johurul can take his place down the order and he can hit some mighty ones replacing imrul.

I like to see three changes:

1. Mash should be replaced by Rubel.
2. Imrul by Nazimuddin.
3. Shuvo by Zunaed.

These changes will also give Shafiul an opportunity for opening the bowling.

Is junaid even included in the squad ? as far as i know he isnt.
Mashrafe wasnt so bad in my opinon. i thought the pak openers deserves a credit for his bad stats for today. Plus shakibs bowling changes were sub par. It had no sort of plan or thought in it.

My XI

Tamim Iqbal
Jahurul Islam + / Musfiqure Rahim +
Md Ashraful / M Riyad
Shakib Al Hasan 4
Riyad /Ashraful 6
Aftab Ahmed
Naeem Islam 6
Shafiul Islam 1
Mashrafee Mortaza 2
Rubel Hossian 5
Abdur Razzak 3

I really dont want Razzak but, no choice. Riyad should go in at 3, if a quick wicket falls, inside 2-4 overs. Musfiq should open, he cant bat at 16-20 overs, its painful! But like 22Y said, our boards arent smart enough..

i wish i could sent the line ups to JS

and none of that opening with spinners!! unless its Rafique, you cant give the ball to any other spinners!!

my XI

Tamim
Muhfiq/johurul (i would really like mushifq on this place but that isnt happening im pretty sure)
Ash ( dont mess with his order, WE REALLY NEED A STABLE NO 3 and hes the perfect kind of batsman on his day)
Shakib ( i thought part of the reason he fails is because he comes so down the order at times, he needs a go at no 4 )
riyad ( he failed a few times under pressure but he has still a lot to prove)
johurul ( after riyad because he seems he can hit IN THE AIR better than riyad )
naeem
mash
shafiul
rasel

im still missing one more man, you can play nazmuddin or aftab before riyad.

Just replace Razzak with Aftab...Shuvo may be replaced with Rasel (but I think he'll get smacked) or Rubel ( can be deadly, or can be erratic). Questions here are:
1. Do we want to be fair and give Shuvo a fair chance ( 1over in bowling is not)
2. Do we want more firepower in bowling. Answer's yes..in which case Rubel is ideal. Rubel will probably bowl more than one over and he will actually look like getting wickets in between the wides. He needs to bowl two overs at the start and get Watson and Haddin out. He can give 30 runs in that time, and I don't care.

Tamim
Imrul
Ashraful
Sakib
Aftab
Naeem (he needs time to settle; Riyad doesn't)
Riyad
Mushfique
Rubel (or Shuvo)
Mashrafee
Shafi

blaming Shakib will not get you any where. jei bhabey hit me ball dicchilow every over'a no captain can do anything. 110+ for no loss... no amount of innovative bowling change can get you any where.

batting is very weak in this one. Imrul though might score some runs but its about time the selectors and people would realize T20 is not his game. He should concentrate on Odis and Tests.
Aftab, barely ever scores.
Naeem, is good to see this lineup will give him something to prove but i wouldnt take that risk at the moment.
Riyad Hes a good hitter but i always thought he is a good hitter down the ground. I havnt really seen sixes from him a lot. That position is key regardless if youre chasing or setting up a total. You need a person who can hit sixes. that same reason rules out mushfiq.

bastmen should also be credited. they found the gaps well. what can i say, the bowling definitely was a let down.

Ash definitely deserved more overs. And although giving Razzak the last over paid off he should not have taken such a risk.

And Rubel will be smoked by the Aussies if he plays.

We are already out of the tournament, there's no way Australia is going to lose to us and if Aussies win tomorrow, goodbye bangladesh.

My team for the Aussie game.
Rest Tamim, the boy is just recovering and not fully fit, he was slow in the field too, he needs a long break, we don't want him injured do we ? It was sad to see Tamim literally floored by Aamer
1) Imrul (if he gets injured, a blessings in disguise)
2) Jahurul Islam (wk)
3) Ashraful
4) Naeem
5) Shakib
6) Riyadh
7) Shuvo
8) Aftab
9) Shafiul
10) Mashrafe
11) Rubel

The selectors picked as ODI team for T20. It gives no option to do much changes. When your #6 and #7 in T20 is a batsman like Nayeem and Mushfiq, you cannot win matches.
++
When your think-tank(?) sends Nayeem/Mushfiq in the crease when the RR in 10, you are bound to loose.

my ideal squad would have been

tamim
junaid
nazimuddin
ashraful
alok
shakib
aftab
dhiman
mashrafe
rafiq
shafiul

we have lots of firepower in that batting lineup.

and also mash shafiul rafiq shakib + kapali ash as bowlers

but given the current squad

tamim
zahurul
ashraful
naeem
shakib
aftab
riadh
shuvo/raj
shafiul
mashrafe
rubel/rasel

aftab
riadh
shuvo/raj (I like to go with both, we have no chance with our medium pacers against Aussies. We have to take our chances with spinners. Its a do or die)
shafiul
mashrafe

Just trying to present my ideas with your analysis.

We are playing against Australia and we need to beat them to have any chance in the WC. As we are around with players like Mushfiq, Nayeem, Imrul, Zahurul, Riyad who are not T20 material, a total team effort cannot win us the match. Only a magic-innings/magic spell can achieve this. Having that in mind -

Tamim
Aftab (Lets just hope, though he is hopeless at the moment)
Ashraful
Nayeem
Sakib
Riyad
Mushfiq (I can't hide him, can we drop the VC?)
Mashrafee
Shuvo (Spin is the way to go against Aussies)
Shafiul
Razzak (again, strategy is the spin)

This can take us to 0/3, still we have to take the chances. Other better combination can only provide us "Sommanjonok Porajoy", which is no use at the moment.
