Default BBC WM looking for West Mids Bangladesh fans

Hi,

We're looking for some Bangladesh fans to speak to on the radio tomorrow morning ahead of the beginning of the Test who're from our patch (Birmingham, Black Country, Wolverhampton), particularly if you're heading down to Lords at all. If anyone can help please give me a call on 0121 567 6063.

Thanks! Kathryn.

In here fans are mostly from the other side of the pond. Not sure if there are many sylheti/Bangladeshi cricket lovers in WM. But all the best with the programme and welcome to BC.

BTW, where is Black country??

I thought that might be the case, but worth a try!

The Black Country is an area to the west of Birmingham, taking in Walsall, Wolverhampton, and Dudley.

Sorry not Wolverhampton itelsef, but around it! It's all to do with the old coal seams and mining areas.

I'm sure I've seen someone from Birimingham on here. His username was ikhan i think. Anyway Birmingham has quite a few Bengalis, I'm surprised not that many have come on here.

I am back to banglacricket forum after about 7 years in hibernation. I just talked to the BBC WM presenter at 7.55am for 5 mins. He asked me about the slow progress of the team's development. I highlighted 9 centuries and good individual performances in the last few months. Also the fact that we pushed England to 5th day in the last test... Than he asked me for the bangladeshi players to watch for in this series, I mentioned about Tamim Iqbal and Shakib al Hasan. I also highlighted the fact that Shakib was top of ODI ranking at the end of last year....

Dilscoop bhai,

5mins is so little time to give all reasons why Bangladesh has not developed as well as they should be, I could write an essay on this topic but I decided to tell them all the positives about Bangladesh Cricket team in that time, I also urged the listeners to be patient as it is a young team... I didn't let the presenter dictate what I wanted to prtray about Bangladesh Cricket... Hope you understand now...

you gave them very good response. thank you for highlighting positive stuff instead of saying negative things... also you should have mention that england took 100+ years to win a cup so why do they think its slow progress????
