No Congrats from me. He clearly played for himself to get a country contact, not for the team

Just be content that he atleast got a 100. We cannot afford the luxury to judge a player if he played for himself or the team. In the end; playing for self is always better than getting a 0.

Who cares. His selfish hundred does a lot more than a 20 ball 5 run epic from the other players in this team.

oh soo when I was saying that last time (not like this but close), every 1 was after me.
Clearly it looks like he doesnt care after getting a 100. He was lucky to get 158 against India, or else it was gonna be same story.
He really can go for a big score, if he hangs around, but he just freaking gives it away!!
This 100 has no value now. He could have been still out there right now. If he had just got out, i wouldnt be this upset. now we are 7 down. If he was batting the bowlers wouldnt have been this confident. After he got out, bowlers were charged up. He made them mess up their game plan.
Ya so thanks a lot and congrats

selfish or not ...without his 100 .. looks like we would've been screwed.
But then again the others would've tried harder, no?

what? Is it his fault the rest of the team is full of useless incompetent fools?
There are 10 other players on this team who you should be blaming before Tamim. Obviously the bowlers should be charged up after getting him out... What do you expect. You'd rather he play a timid 10 run innings?

Yes you can blame the other players. But you dont give it away like when you are in good form. You can't get out on that situation like that. We are just happy because he is getting 100. Because no 1 has done it in the past. He wont get away with this any more. I bet he will hear **** from JS after this. Clearly its a attitude problem

Yes him giving it away was bad, and he needs to work on extending his hundreds, but to say his 100 has no value is ridiculous.
And you can't really blame him for the collapse. Sakib batted horribly when he came out. He is the captain, he should have set a standard.

It does have no value. The way he was going, we could have scored 350+. Everything went wrong after he got out. Now we are having trouble avoiding follow-on. That 100 doesnt mean anything to the team, if we cant even avoid follow-on. And even if we do, we will do it by 20-30 odd runs. And Eng will still have over 150 lead.

Seriously, I had enough of all these. Centuries and five-fors are coming now and then and now unless there's any match-changing performances from our players, I refuse to celebrate.

COULD NOT AVOID FOLLOW ON! 220 RUNS BEHIND!
EFF THE 100s! These are worthless personal figures, they mean nothing to the team, unless you continue on. I would rather have Tamim score a duck and rest of the guys come and do w/e then come this close and not get it..

Not Tamim's fault for the potential follow-on. Blame everyone who actually FAILED. Yeah, I'm looking from 1 down.

Sundor bone bandor raja. Tamim will and should be praised heavily as long as his team mates are doing absolutely rubbish. To his credit he scored the century and to his discredit he threw it away once again.

Tamim's not at fault for anything, he has said that he will play agressive cricket regardless and these are the only ways he will get out. He made us proud and the rest of the maggots made us a laughing stock.
Tamim and Shakib are two world class cricketers stuck in a team full of club level cricketers.

He is head and shoulders above than anyone in the team. Congrats to Tamim.

Tamim might be enjoying the best run for Bangladeshi cricketer ever - congrats for that. But his run resembles every other cricketer who for a short time seemed to be carrying the team on their shoulders with international class performances - they had great personal glory but the team still underperformed as a unit. Bashar, Shahriar Nafees, Ashraful, Shakib (who's still good with the ball but off the mark with the bat compared to last year), and now Tamim. I think there is merit to the point of view that the situation demands for the top order batsmen to play a long innings rather than keep getting out as soon as they get to a 50 or a 100. Tamim is good, and head and shoulders above his teammates now, but he's not yet good enough.

Indeed. Congratulations. A class apart. Now if only you were more focused on building double-centuries and beyond.
Todays dismissal was a pain to watch.

In a skysports article he said that agressive cricket brought him success and he will play like this from now on. I dont think he wants to just hang around so the only way we will see a 200 from him is in 200 balls which is highly improbable.
