Default That Tiger Cub.

On the second day of the second Test in Mirpur of 2010 against the mighty England, while all the tigers had been roaring with bat and ball, a tiger cub got away from the gang, strolled a bit in hurried footsteps, was looking around with a great wonder, became nervous of loud noise and unknown red faces and then fell in a hole.

Since then, that tiger cub had been in the den, the result of our BCB think tank. In this BD tour of England for ODIs, that tiger cub showed up in the pitch of this first ODI at Nottingham and gave us a marvelous innings of 76 runs. This is a nice comeback.

But sadly, at the end of the game, a typical dumbness and bad luck have won for us.

The next generation of cricketers should be better and smarter to uphold the beaconing torch of our glory and pride.

Oohh! What a tiger cub he is!! Allah bless the tiger cub Rok who scored that 76 today!

Dear FagunerAgun mama (dearest Helal bhai), Salaam!

Your writing, your play with the words makes us feel alive again as human. You are an amazing writer, you bring poetry in our otherwise mundane lives.

May our Rok the tiger cub come back and kick some Dragon butts like Bruce Lee!!!

I read ''Tiger Club'' at first.

And wasn't it this year (2010) and not 2009?

Good on him though, was nice to see him storm back into the side and perform well.

not tiger cub, tiger er baap. A great comeback innings by Bangladeshi standards. He could not accelerate in the end, but that's not his trait, so can't blame him there.Hopefully he recovers soon.

It was a rock solid innings by Rakibul. He was middling the ball from the very first ball. Only criticism is sometimes he doesn't look for singles rather play for dead bat.

Unlucky he got injured and run out. May Allah bless his with quick recovery.

You know shakib used to bat a lot similar to Rakibul before but he has lost it this days trying to me flamboyant. Atleast Rakib will hold that middle order batting like he used to before. Good sign.

I'm really proud the way Roqibul batted yesterday..I've been behind this boy since he made that 63 against SA..he's the type of middle order batsman we need in our collapse friendly lineup..yesterday's innings was such a treat to watch..he just focused on rotating the strike the whole innings and put the odd balls away for boundaries..despite having a SR of 80 his innings looked chance less pretty much the whole way..he had some glorious looking shots the whole way..his batting is very different from his teammates..he only needs to learn how to accelerate at the end but with time he will improve..lets hope he can improve..I'm telling you guys he will be a world class batsman in a few years..

Our Tiger444 (Ahnaf) is the true adopted godfather of Rok!
Ahnaf/Tiger444 to Rokibul is same as what Zainab apa to our Ashraful.

BD batting lineup really missed Rock' batting today.
Hope and pray, he will come back roaring soon from injury.
