when he started his career he had good pace due to his height got good bounce. good control in line and length, and also good seam and swing. specially he bowled very well to Left hand batsman. aamir sohail, saeed anwar , gary kirsten used to have problems with him. also one of the early exponents of slower balls in death bowler. also as a bowler he had a very aggressive attitude. he had decent success at home and away in both forms.

later part of his career he lost a lot of pace and almost become a shahadat pace bowler. though still he could coz trouble to batsman with control and variation. we used to joke that kumble is slow medium pace bowler and prasad is fast leg spinner. there was even time when prasad used to bowl 6 leg cutter/off cutters slowers in the death overs and bamboozled batsman.

so not one of the great bowlers but one of the top 5 pacers india had since Kapil Dev has retired.

he is vegetarian.

BCB is good for nothing. They need to look for someone like Chaminda Vaas, Shaun Pollock or Courtney Walsh.

Not a bad choice. Our bowlers need to learn how to control their line and lengths.

yes, he was appointed just after India's 2007 WC exit and loss to BD. after the WC when india toured BD it was his first tour in charge as bowling coach.

not sure when he was reeased though.

also he is bowling coach of a IPL team. may be RCB, CSK or MI, not 100% sure though which team.

Please no Sub-continental coach, we already saw the depletion caused by CRamanayake. Prasad as a bowler was not that successful either. Srinath could be a better choice if he was not involved in referring. Get a West Indian no matter what level of cricket played, if he was good as a coach, that all matters. A bowling coach from WIndies will charge lot less also while will provide 100%.

Let us get Asif as our bowling coach. With a ban approaching to his playing career, he needs a job.

As far as I remember Prasad's latecutters were good. Tapash Baishya could do that like Prasad.

On another note, I guess, Prasad was involved in India's successful stint with Under 19 World Cup campaigns as Coach.

prasad was not that gifted a bowler but he was a thinking bowler, I always think strivers make better coaches than geniuses because they know what it means to fight with limited talent and yet perform decently. not a bad choice IMO.

The Pakistani government has already talked to Mexican druglords to hire them and ask them to do the peddler's job on the street of Mexican cities.

It appears that Salman Butt, the Test team capitan will lead them in their new jobs.

Mexico drug load Edgar Valdez has agreed to train them in drug related jobs.
They think that these Pakistani player would present them an opportunity to expand their business to Asian countries and they could outsource drugs from Afghanistan local market.

Prasad! Bad choice. He was Indian bowling coach and look at current Indian bowling. And why an Indian bowling coach? Please bring a coach from RSA or from England. They are more reputed country for pace bowling.

I don't know whether Prasad will be right choice for BD cricket team,He was sacked by BCCI after Indian bowler's dismal performance at the Champion league ODI (MINI world cup) at SA.
Once Manoj Prabakar called him a luggage carrier of Indian Cricket team his tenure. He was accused of making Ishant Shamra ineffective bowler.

actually they were performing well under him except one tournament. it's after he is gone that they have really gone to pieces. most Ind cricket fans consider prasad's removal to be a bad decision.

Actually I think V Prasad will be a better choice than Lance klusenar. He was a player with limited ability but used his ability to the fullest extent. He did a fair job with India team as their bowling coach. Prasad and Singh combination as bowling and fielding coach was delivering for India.

Having said that, I would like to see someone from England like Caddick as our bowling coach.

changed my mind. Prasad e valo. Nai mamar cheye kana mama valo aarki. He can also use his experience of coaching Indian bowlers. Their problems are similiar to our bowlers and ability also similiar. Plus our bowlers are not good in english. Our bowler can speak bangla with him, it will not be difficult to him to understand bangla as hindi and bangla are also similiar language.

Well, we cannot trust BCB unless, until we see someone on the field as a bowling coach.

Yes, I agree too. Prasad is way better than Klusener. Even in the quality of bowling. Specially the pacers.

The money & allied facilities offered to Kusener is good enough to get Wakar/Akram, and that would be more useful.
