I tried to translate the most important part of the article :

Shakib accepted “I could not bowl well in last few matches, for a while I was thinking that I need to work with my bowling. As coach Salahuddin was not available,I practiced with Jamie, though Jamie doesn’t understand Spin bowling well either”

At this moment Shakib feels the need for a Spin bowling coach, he said “As Spin is our most important part,a coach from home or aboard will help. Couple of problems can be rectified with the help of the coach, or by discussing with him.”

Sorry man, I can not make much out of this.

But I do agree, we need spin bowling coach. Name comes to mind is Naimur Rahman if he is available. Muhammad Rafiq is not bad.

I think Shakib is after an experienced professional coach. Does Rafiq coaches professionally? Being a good player and being an experienced coach are two different things. A professional coach is like an experienced teacher, who dealt with many students problem in the past and have answer ready for their problems, specific solutions for specific problems. All slow bowlers have their unique style, variations. Someone new in coaching area won't understand what Shakib wants from him. If Rafiq was a spin bowling legend then so is Shakib and Razzak, We are not looking for a legend here but for a good teacher similar to Jamie Siddons.

Yeah he needs some coaching for sure. Or they can appoint someone as consultant imo (except Ashley giles). He's the most talented BD spinner ever, but with some variations in his armory he can be unplayable.

He just wants Salahuddin to join the team again. The players have some sort of connection with that guy.

All he has to do is just go over to Rafique's house, and he will be more than happy to help him out. That's what players all around the world do. Talk to their legends. And Shakib is lucky to get one.

No board hires a SPIN coach and a FAST bowling coaching separately. All comes in ONE, in form of a BOWLING coach. Ian Pont. Why are you talking to Jammie about it? Talk to Ian. tard

He just needs to hav few mistakes corrected and some tips.... He also needs to figure out to bowl more economical ...
A coach for couple of weeks should do the trick... Raffique is good, he is a very economical bowler and can teach him about it

I HAVE A STRONG POINT: Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan (L) shows something to a stone-faced coach Jamie Siddons (C) during a practice session at Academy ground adjacent to the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.Photo: STARSports Reporter

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan stressed upon the need for a spin bowling coach in the team, especially with the World Cup less than two months away, though head coach Jamie Siddons felt that there should be a limit to the number of coaches a team can have.

"We really need a specialist coach, given that spin is our main weapon. We have 5-6 spinners in the side, so it would be good if we had someone," said Shakib after first day of an early camp ahead of the mega event that begins on February 19.

The No 1 all-rounder in the world, who was acquired by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, also explained his points after a relaxed practice session yesterday at the newly-laid Academy ground.

"He could at least work with us, help us and offer us a word of advice. These little things support us a lot," said the left-handed all-rounder.

"It would be good if someone is given the job permanently. It could be anyone, a foreign or a local coach. But I think, 40 days ahead of the World Cup, we could do with one," he added.

Shakib confirmed that he has discussed the matter with Siddons and will take it up with the board. "I have talked to the coach and I think we can talk to the board about this. We need someone, particularly when spin is such an important part of our attack."

But whatever the discussion between the captain and the coach took they did not reach a consensus. Siddons observed that the current line-up of coaches is good enough to handle the spin bowling department.

"Ian (Pont) is a spin bowling coach as well. He is a bowling coach, I'm a spin bowling coach and so is Julien (Fountain). We are not just batting, bowling and fielding coaches, we are all level 3 and 4 qualified coaches and we can work with the spinners as well," said the 46-year-old Australian.

"It would be nice if someone can focus on spinners with Ian (Pont) working with the fast bowlers.

"It would be nice if we can have ten coaches but you have got to draw the line somewhere. It doesn't work getting more and more coaches," said Siddons, who was spotted working on Shakib's bowling pivot and follow-through during Sunday's brief session.

The left-arm spinner reiterated his loss of bowling form, also adding that the 23 players called up for the camp would need dual focus. "I haven't been bowling well in the last two series. Even in the Premier League, I think I haven't done justice to my bowling skills."

"I'm working on it with him (Jamie Siddons), because (Mohammad) Salahuddin bhai is not around.

"Our main focus right now is on the Premier League. We will practice for the national team, but play on the match days for our respective clubs. From now on, every player will have the World Cup in their thoughts.

"They are also doing well so it is a plus for us. They will be confident in the World Cup if they score runs and take wickets beforehand. It hardly matters what cricket they play as long as they can take some confidence from it," said Shakib

Jamie is right..they are level 3 and 4 qualified coaches..u dont need another coach

but i can see shakib's demand..he's bowling form is somewhat suffering and he wants to improve thats why he wants a spinning coach..nothing wrong with that..but i think he should consult ian pont..he is a level 4 bowling coach..if he didn't know spin bowling he wouldn't have been a level 4 coach..

This is what came into my mind when I read the news. Tamim likes salauddin as well and Jamie spoke about his influence over the team when bcb sacked him. Wouldn't be a bad move if bcb employs him until the wc IMO.

I remember reading not so long ago that Siddons himself wanted a specialist spin bowling coach and was lobbying for such a position with the powers that be at the BCB.

Now it seems he's gone full circle arguing that one is not needed. I think there's something more going on here. What's most revealing here is Shakib's comment on Mohammad Salahuddin.

I don't think a spin bowling coach per se is what they're after. I think he (and possibly some of the other players) want salahuddin to be part of the set up and this is the best way of trying to get that...

Sakib, if you need something, please speak to the Coach and the Board first....media should be your least option...about spin coach, without discussion ( the coach and the board), you are saying it to Media, not wise mate....Administrator, please publish it fully...

Thirded. Bring Rafique in - it will also send the right message to other good servants of Bangladesh cricket.

Alternatively, if Sakib really wants to make a point, he can hire who he wants with his Large Bag Of IPL Cash and train privately

Get someone like Saqlain Mushtaq for a week or two. with three very highly regarded coaches already in the panel, I don;t think we need a fourth. A consultant would be ideal in this situation.

Excatly. Now Shakib is just being very unreasonable. He is offending the coaches. He is pretty saying "you are not good enough for me" right to their faces. Call it overreacting, (I know Shakib is not like that), but this is what I was worried about, when they gave him the XI he wanted vs NZ. Soon he will have more demands.

Since he is tagging Ian Pont as FAST bowling coach, instead of a BOWLING coach, which he is, soon Rasel will want a SLOW or MORA bowling coach because he can't make the cut with Ian Pont. Shahadat will want a pie-chucker coach, because Ian Pont is not good enough to teach him how to chuck pie with a gross grunt. Rahim will need a keeping coach, because JF is a FIELDING coach. Riyad and Naeem will need a slogger coach, because JS made them very slow and "technical".

These players just need to shut up and hit the nets! Like I said if Shakib has issues, just go talk to Rafique. Shane Warne is always open to new spinners that come and go in Aus team. But he is not hired as a coach. Wasim Akram always helps and talks to the young Pak bowlers, even though they have Waqar as their coach. Ex players are always more than happy to help the current players.

Does Salauddin want to be associated with the team though? Has anyone asked if he wants the job?

Default Hire Salauddin as a Short Term Spin Coach

Why not hire Salauddin as a short term coach? Players love and respect him. JS also likes him. You could pay him 1 or 1.5 lakh. That would be a small change for BCB.

Shakib needs a silly-mood-off fielding coach.
