It seemed as though Shakib Al Hasan had a tear in his eye when his rickshaw entered the Bangabandhu Stadium on opening-ceremony night to thunderous applause in the sold-out venue.
Oh good - I thought I was the only one

The last 12 day-night matches in Mirpur have all been won by the team batting second. Overall, in 16 day-night ODIs, the team batting first has won only three times.

India have won seven and lost three ODIs in Mirpur, but they've beaten Bangladesh in all five matches here. Three of those were day-night games, and in all of them India chased.

Vaire vai, Mirpur stadium er ashe pashe appx. 30000-40000 lok joro hoyese. Almost everyone has got vuvujela in their hands. They r playing it by their own & going crazy like mad. O boy i'm going crazy too along with them! You guys can't imagine what's the actual scenario here in Mirpur. The noise level of the environment is at its peak. Anyway, i might have failed to represent the exact picture of the people's excitement over here with my poor choice of words..but can't help myself to share it.

PS. May be I'm in the wrong thread..yet couldn't bother or resist myself to share it. Ki je hochche ekhane!!!

Can't imagine how all these noises and expectations will impact the players...as long as they don't get nervous...
