I will be watching more than anything how our new no.4 ( Rahim ) does in his new role. It is such a crucial spot, the pivot of the innings, and much depends on how a no.4 goes about his business in a given match. It is not a sexy spot, so to speak, but the ability of a no.4 to dictate the field during the boring period is so important. Of course, if no.1-3 do their job, its much easier to keep it going for a no.4, and makes it even easier for later batsmen to play without pressure. So, yes, a lot depends on him. He is a quick smart guy. Lets not jump all over him if he fails on first game. I think, in the longer run, as the tournament progresses along, he will do just fine.

Whether BD can pull off the matches or not (as they are expected to do so) , BD people will certainly remember this WC forever for it's uniqueness made by their own. And undoubtedly IT'S THE BEST. Nothing could ever bring such merry, harmony & joy amongst the BD people except this WC. ....now it's time for the cricketers to protect this happiness for their countrymen...wait, now police n RAB are coming ! Hmm..

People are not going home I guess. The number is ever increasing. Not only the boys, the girls are also coming out on the streets from their shell at equal rate!

According to DMP Commissioner Benjir Ahmed the number is over 1-2lacs.He requested them leave. I doubt they will leave. They need to declare curfew in nearby area for tonight. Otherwise there will be great mass tomorrow.

I know it is a good thing to support your team and all but with BD fans turning up in such huge numbers on the night before the match starts will only put more pressure on BD players. Playing on home ground can be dis-advantageous in such circumstances. Try to imagine what will be going in their minds.
Inshallah, I am confident India, my team, will win tomorrow but no one can defeat the passion of BD fans. I salute all the BD fans for being so passionate about your team. All the best to all of you.

Exactly, the passion that you are talking about is now making me little uneasy. I was fairly confident that India will win till I saw the crowd outside the stadium. When you talk about revenge, probably Sehwag would be the only player who would be thinking about revenge. Sachin, Dhoni, Zaheer etc are too focussed players to be thinking about revenge.
