I am in shock. BKSP!!! They beat NZ U-19!!!!
Considering, the top U-19 players did not playing for BKSP, it was not even their top team.
Oh man, this is good, our future do look great.

Back to reality guys...Bangladesh has always done well in the age group tournaments than the seniors have done in international matches...These NZ boys are probably still inexperienced in terns of playing in conditions such as they're having to face in Bangladesh (sub continent pitches, weather)....In 5 years' time, when these boys face the BKSP boys(both as members of the respective national teams) they will thrash us just like we thrashed Nepal....our infrastructure is such that they will advance at a faster pace than we do...that is what always happens...

Great Job, but when the real thing happens, BD always falters. I have been seeing that for year after year.

the real question is who was playing for BKSP - first class players from the divisions, club players, 19 year olds? with all the u-19 teams in action against divisional and district teams, does that mean they are playing local age group teams or the actual first class teams, etc?
in any case, defeat is a good way for NZ to start their campaign.

I guess BKSP players are all pretty young! Certainly below 19. But for other teams probably players above 19 are also playing. CCDM team surely contains some young national legue players.

I refuse to get excited with this result. Hearts been broken numerous times by this kind of results and the excitement that followed. Let's not forget that when it mattered - we lost to Nepal in the under 19 and under 17 matches.
(it does sound like we have a shot at beating NZ, doesn't it ?)

Nafis is my biggest worry. He fails when it counts the most. BKSP won with the help of no less than 40 extra runs. Other than Ahsraful's 76, the rest were unimpressive. The 93 ball 76 wasn't quite the "Blazing Cameo" either. I'll wait 'til the 15th. If we can pass the first hurdle, we have a chance to go on to the next round with some confidence.

i really believe BD can beat scotland and NZ, thus paving the way to second round.
our u-19 team is stronger than the NZ team, from any way you look at it. we got better batters (sorry for the pun ), better bowlers, we are a better fielding side.
now it all depends on our performance on the field. hoping they wont let us down.

Thanks Mridul!
Good to see our division teams are at least beating teams like PNG, Canada and Scotland, pity they couldn't do the same for Nepal.
btw, sorry if this is has already been discussed, I haven't been following this until now, but will the Kenya U19s be playing in this WC?
