BDFlag Bangladeshi Roksana won British Kick Boxing Championship

Bangladeshi Roksana won British Kick Boxing Championship

British Bangladeshi Roksana became one of the glorious names in Bangladesh's pride lst 27 November. Roksana defeated Paige Perrington in Doncaster Dome winning the British kickboxing championship. This is the first time a Bangladeshi muslim has stunned whole europe by winning the title.

Roksana who lives in east London, has an origin back in Sylhet, Bangladesh. She is studying Architechture in West Minister University, London. She also has an interest in painting and in her own religion.

Roksana has been practicing the art of kickboxing for the last 8 years in the UK. Self discipline, pratice and self confidence has given her the present success. She has gotten the family support and inspiration but she had to go through a lot of social obstacles. The other participants had underestimated her from the beginning. Even the organizers did not properly promote her in the competition. Even then she did not loose her self-confidence.

Roksana's kickboxing "Guru" Bill Jude thinks this victory will impact the british society in a powerful way. He stated that Roksana might look like a little naive girl, but in the ring she shocks everyone with her aggressive fighting spirit.

About winning the title Roksana said that this win has boosted her self confidence to a very high level. This is a victory for every Bangladeshi living in her community.

All in all good. Although I don't see how does "muslim" plays a factor in it. Also the spelling should be 'lose'...
