Abdul Razzaq provides an indication of how well (or poor) are league is.

I dont like the fact, he is coasting with a 60+ average. I would prefer our league would have a better standard for him to be struggling for a 35+ average at the most

I was wondering if the strike rates of the batsmen can be shown as well. Also, I'm not sure if it's possible but it would be awesome to record how many runs are scored in the power play overs every match and who are scoring them.

^We have to wait till we get full scorecard for all the matches. For now we only have access to partial scorecard through the newspapers.

Bump,

Most of the scorecards are now available at cricketarchive so it would be a good time to update the stats and see who the performers are.

Last years top run scorer Imrul kayes is having a horrid time, whilst Tamim, Mushy and Monimul Haque (newcomer?) have been consistently making runs.
Elias Sunny is once again collecting lots of wickets and Kamrul Islam Rabbi (newcomer?) has also started well.

মাহমুদউল্লাহ রিয়াদ : আমার মাথায় ছিল যে আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটের শেষ কয়েকটি ম্যাচে ভালো রান করতে পারিনি। একাদশ থেকে বাদও পড়েছিলাম। প্রিমিয়ার লিগ শুরুর আগে তাই ভাবনা ছিল একটাই_এখানে পারফর্ম করে যেন বিশ্বকাপ স্কোয়াডে জায়গা করে নিতে পারি।
প্রশ্ন : মনে কি হয়, এখন পর্যন্ত তেমন পারফর্ম করেছেন? সাত ম্যাচে ৯১ গড়ে ৩৫৪ রান; সঙ্গে ৮ উইকেট...
মাহমুদউল্লাহ : আমি সন্তুষ্ট। সময়টা আসলে ভালোই যাচ্ছে। ক্লাবের হয়ে আমার প্রিয় পাঁচ নম্বরে ব্যাটিং করছি। ইনিংস গড়ার জন্য তাই সময় পাচ্ছি বেশ। আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটে যা সব সময় হয়ে ওঠে না। সাত নম্বরে নেমে অনেক সময় তাড়াহুড়ো থাকে। ম্যাচ সিচুয়েশনের দাবি থাকে, মেরে খেলার। সেটি তো আর সব সময় হয় না। এ কারণে মাঝেমধ্যে রান পাই না।
প্রশ্ন : জাতীয় দলে ফিরলে তো সেই সাত নম্বরেই ব্যাটিং করতে হবে। লিগের ফর্ম সেখানে কতটা কাজে লাগবে?
মাহমুদউল্লাহ : দেখুন, যে লেভেলে আর যে পজিশনে রান করি না কেন, তার একটা আলাদা আত্মবিশ্বাস থাকে। বিশ্বকাপে তাই আত্মবিশ্বাস নিয়েই যাব। আরেকটা ব্যাপার আছে। জাতীয় দলে আমার জন্য ব্যাটিং পাওয়ার প্লে কাজে লাগানোটা খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। গত কয়েকটি আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যাচে তা পারিনি। এবার লিগের ম্যাচগুলোর সময় এ জায়গাটায় ভীষণ সতর্ক ছিলাম। তাতে কাজ হয়েছে। ব্যাটিং পাওয়ার প্লে কাজে লাগিয়েছি দারুণভাবে। সেই ধারাবাহিকতা জাতীয় দলে ধরে রাখতে পারলেই হয়।
প্রশ্ন : আপনার পজিশনে আরেকটি বিষয় খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ_সেট হয়ে গেলে লম্বা ইনিংস খেলা। ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে দেখা যাচ্ছে, সেটি বেশ ভালোভাবেই করছেন...
মাহমুদউল্লাহ : জেমি (সিডন্স) আমাদের সব সময় এ কথাটা বলেন। ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেট খেলার সময়ও সেটি আমার মাথায় ছিল। দল বিপর্যয়ের মধ্যে থাকলে এক প্রান্ত আঁকড়ে থেকেছি। আবার রানের ধারায় থাকলে সহজাত স্ট্রোক খেলেছি। তবে উইকেট বিলিয়ে আসিনি। আশা করি, জাতীয় দলেও তেমনটা করতে পারব।
প্রশ্ন : বোলিংয়ে মাঝের খারাপ সময় মনে হয় কাটিয়ে উঠেছেন?
মাহমুদউল্লাহ : আমার তো তা-ই মনে হয়। আসলে হয়েছে কি, মাঝে আমি বোলিং অ্যাকশন নিয়ে বেশ কিছু কাজ করেছি। এ কারণে পারফরম্যান্সটা ঠিক প্রত্যাশিত হয়নি। তবে এখন আবার আগের অবস্থায় ফিরে গিয়েছি। আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটে সর্বশেষ দুটি সিরিজেও কিন্তু আমি খারাপ বোলিং করিনি। চার-পাঁচটি করে উইকেট হয়তো পাইনি। তবে দলের চাহিদা মিটিয়ে আটকে রেখেছি রান। দু-একটি ব্রেক থ্রুও দিয়েছি। প্রিমিয়ার লিগেও তা-ই।
প্রশ্ন : শেষ প্রশ্ন। নিজের বিশ্বকাপ-স্বপ্নটা বলুন।
মাহমুদউল্লাহ : প্রথম স্বপ্ন তো স্কোয়াডে থাকা। এরপর প্রথম ম্যাচের একাদশে থাকা। এরপর ম্যাচপ্রতি এমন পারফরম্যান্স করা যেন পরের ম্যাচের একাদশে থাকতে পারি। আলাদা করে আর ফিফটি-সেঞ্চুরি, তিন-চার উইকেটের কথা বললাম না। কারণ ওই যে একটা কথা আছে না, অ্যাকশন স্পিকস লাউডার দ্যান ওয়ার্ডস। আমি আসলে কথায় নয়, কাজে বিশ্বাসী।
