His Career AVG 25.46
Last 12 months AVG 14.66
and he mostly batted as a number 4 batter
even in this horrific situation only decent score (46*) came when he batted at position 6
As we include Mominul, and he is a decent middle order bat i think he should bat at 5 and Mushfiq better come at 6 and start scoring some runs......

After return of Shakib batting order should be like this:
Tamim
Anamul
Naeem
Shakiib
Nasir
Mushy

I know he has the ability and the smarts, but he needs to be more sufficient in scoring his runs. I understand it was his come back in ODI's after a while, so he wanted to get some runs under his belt. Hope he can continue to improve on his performances.

Neither Naeem has very good reflex nor a tremendous foot work. Still i like this guy. He gives value to his wicket. He got the mindset to succeed.
He is a batsman with limited ability no doubt still i am hopful about his success even in limited over matches. He did pretty well in t20 practice matches before the wc and his t20 stats also suggests he have some hitting ability as well. So i am hopful about his test and ODI success .

Rahim has a modest batting average and is clearly not in form. He's basically like Darren Sammy where they too question is he important enough to be in the team.

See, the kind of innings Anamul played. That says that, had it been Nayeem playing the same innings, still we could have reached 300 mark...that's what I was talking about.we just need a guy playing a stable and long innings at the top..that day it was Naeem and today it was Anamul...

Yo, right after Gayle's wicket just a few minutes ago, what was Mushy's reaction about?
Was he telling Mash to bowl that type of delivery all along? His body language seemed to say "What did I tell you?"
I thought the commentators would clear it up for me. But stupid Athar was commentating and just said "Mushy will be happy".

But same old problem, can't convert. At least he tried to accelerate at the right time, unlike you know who.

Must've been directed at Gayle who earlier hit Mash in the ankle!

This knock was long due from our captain. I knew he is capable of it and he will prove his worth at some point.
One good thing that I noticed is his keeping has improved leaps and bounds !!
Now he should just concentrate on being more consistent !! There are lots of similarities the way Tamim-Shakib- Mushfiq bats. They all starts well and all of a sudden tries to play extravagant shots. While Tamim and Shakib gets more success batting like that, Mushy just fails most of the time. I think there was something wrong the way they were trained. I didn't see that in Anamul and Mominul thankfully. Though Nasir is guilty of that too. Anyways all the best captain. You are marshaling your troops well .

Seemed like a "u mad bro?" signal to Gayle to me
Mushy does have tendencies to rub it into the batsmen's face.

Glad to see him stepping up in a tough situation and making it count. Also liked the fact that he stepped up to the plate rather than sitting and letting Nasir go out. He just looked so good when he gets it going but problem is he's still not consistent enough. So good innings but do it more often Mushy, I know you got it in you.

Great knock but should've gone on to get his century. We seem to be constantly interchanging between Mushy and Nasir for the #4 spot. I'd prefer it if we had a settled player there. I hope Mushy continues and doesn't disappear in the remainder of the series like he has done before.

i think based on past performance the only fair thing to do is to give nasir the #4 spot if it's between nasir and mushy. no offence to mushy, he's played some good knocks up the orders but he's been nowhere near as consistent as nasir has. plus nasir has played quite a few fighting knocks in the short space he's played international cricket, mushy not so much. i think nasir's consistency and temperament mean he should get the nod higher up the order. with mominul coming in he can always play the #7 batsman role (even shuvagata might be an option at #7). mushy seems to generally do better around the #6 spot.

Ummm, I don't know.
Wasn't Gayle's back to him? And Mushy seemed to be def. looking at Mash. I'm not convinced, I so wish someone would clear it up for me.
For now, I think he was telling Mash to bowl a wide swinging delivery all along. And once he did it, and got a wicket, then Mushy was like " What did I tell you" with his hands out? He wasn't smiling either for a good 5-6 seconds, so there was something def. going on.
Oh mayne, I hate when commentators don't go into these little things. This has got to be the worst commentating panel ever!

Mushy played an awesome innings. Was taking singles, hitting boundaries and then, out of nowhere, HE THREW HIS WICKET AWAY!
