George Binoy:
Here's how much money the teams have remaining for the auction. All figures in millions of $. Chennai and Mumbai have 4.5. Kolkata, Deccan, Punjab, Pune and Kochi have 9 million. Rajasthan have 3.9 million. Delhi and Bangalore have 7.2. You can keep track of how much money the teams have left by clicking here during the auction. That page will be updated as players are sold.

Jayaditya:
Morning all. Welcome to IPL 2.0. New management, new beginnings, almost a new tournament. Less flash, I think, more prudent spending. But who can second-guess Indian spending habits?

Really hoping Tamim and Shakib get picked. If they play regularly then I would be interested in the IPL.

George Binoy:
Right, we're ten minutes away from the auction. The bids are likely to happen quicker than a Chris Gayle maiden over.

sharda:
Matt the IPL is modelled not on the lines of European football but mor elike American sport, and according to Modi his theory was that every few years if you shuffle the teams around completely, it keeps teams 'equal'.

But as we know something are always more equal than others.
