The World Cup To Be Shown Live In Cinema Hall.
The whole world cup is going to be shown live at the Dhaka Shaheen Cinema Hall in the Cantonment area.Experience the World Cup in the biggest screen in the country, alongside 700 spectators in the air conditioned hall. This is going to be a minor solace for those of us who didn't have the luck to buy tickets for the World Cup.

There will be big screens in many locations in Dhaka. Besides Dhaka we will have big screens in every districts according to BCB.
If I don't find any tickets then will have to be among the bog crowds of TSC or some other places.

i must say there aren't such privileges here in the caribbean when big matches of these statures are being played, this will certainly be a major boost for the tigers knowing that peope will come out in their numbers watching these games involving bangladesh(?),this is definitell a spectacle to behold,i wish i would be there

well good idea considering continuous load shedding during world cup. but you know how is the environment of our typical cinema hall. you have to spend more than 5 hours in the hall for the whole match. they should increase the facility.

This shouldn't a move to earn some extra money, but rather a nice gesture from BCB to show some sympathy to other millions of people living in Dhaka. Because only 25k gets to watch it from the stands, BCB has to reduce the price for these seats. Tickets should be 50% off for Bangla matches, and 70% off for ROW matches.
Free opening ceremony viewing.

Nakib, this is your Wafi Bhai here. Sorry didn't call you. Ami BD ashtesi! March 1st week. Get tickets for me for the England, Netherlands and South Africa matches please IF you are going!
I had the good fortune of watching the India vs. Bangladesh match in a theater in New York in 2007! And blessed was the day with more BD fans in the house outnumbering the Indos 3:1! Ah!
A great initiative !

the bcb has nothing to do with this at all, this is a initiative purely from the cinema hall.

This was undertaken by the combined military forces,so nothing illegal about it,its mainly for the army, but tickets are being sold to the public too,and the as far as i've heard the capacity is about a thousand now, hoping for a stadium-like atmosphere!

I wonder if they'll show the match(es) at the Gulshan 2 circle screen. They used to show the FIFA World Cup matches there at night. But then those were 90min games during after hours.
