Needless to say, this is the first time BD is going to play such an important role in cricket history being one of the co-hosts of an auspicious event like ICC WC, and of course, they, along with other nations, are going take part in the field-combat,too. So, this could be a great achievement for all of us as a nation if everything goes on song.Nonetheless, achievements may go in vain if the tigers don't come good in the field. But I firmly believe that they will make us proud eventually by making glorious history on our very own home soil with much more elegant manner than ever...

because i get to see talents from all over the world competing everyday, and most importantly bangladesh is co-hosting it,looking forward to them playing well, and they have won my heart when they came to the caribbean in the last wc,and also in 2009 where they made history,to me this world cup means only one thing -tigers winning it

^^^^ exactly !

We all do have some sort of expectation. But it may vary like share-market price when the execution is below/above the threshold level of expectation. So, we have to wait till the show begins..

Because, not only we are co-host, we also wish to continue with upward trend of success. World is watching and we have a point to prove that we deserve respect from all test playing nations and earn rights to play test match against India in India. This is the time to consolidate our position at number 8.

If SL wins the first 2 ODIs vs WI, we will be #8.

If SL wins 3rd ODI as well we enter World Cup as #8. Of course, if WI wins a game vs. SL, we can always beat IND in our opening match to get the #8 for the first time.

As the team improves with time, expectations are climbing higer, so interest increases as well. That's my reason of 2011 being more interesting that 2007.

But after we get the world cup thrice, interests will probably be going down amongst the current generations following cricket ....

I was more excited about the 2007 WC than this one.

I think we are going down this time like 2003.

Home Conditions play a big role. Honestly, this is my first full, real world cup as I did watch 2007 world cup but that was when I just started watching cricket. And we obviously have good chances in this one.
