Default IND-AUS Practice Match- WC 2011

India Lost their first wicket on 12.

Quote:

Bollinger to Gambhir, OUT, Gambhir never looked in touch there and he is gone now. It landed on a good length, perhaps just back of the length, Gambhir was initially looking to get forward, then tried to press back. Too late. He ended up stabbing at it. Edge and gone!

G Gambhir c White b Bollinger 6 (15b 1x4 0x6) SR: 40.00

Pacers are making some problem to Indan Openers.

The spinners are finally giving India some hope. They had a nagging lower order and now with the spinners, they may able to push Australia. The Aussies are clueless against spin. No wonder Dhoni chose to bat, this wicket was designed for their spinners.

That looked plumb. Another reason I'm glad we won't be playing Australia anytime soon. if India can't get this calls, one wonders what BD bowlers can get on seemingly plumb decisions.

The one thing could have been the height, it didn't look that high. A view from the side would have been helpful.

The magic of SPIN in the subcontinent. Well, bodes well for all sub-con spinners.

Australia managed to lose this one. Good on India for hanging around. They kept the pressure and the Aussies succumbed to their own insecurity against spin. Indian tail and the spinners made the difference.

wow not one compliment to India for winning a low scoring one ! Even the seasoned posters have to say Aussie lost it , i would say India won it. Dhoni had a strategy and stuck to it, rotated his spinners beautifully and won it.

Sad for some here that India won the game. Being happy about BD winning is one thing, being sad that India winning when Bd is not involved is another. 19th is going to be so much fun, may the better team that day win.

cheers !
Padosan
