I think Sabbir has the potential to do that. He has shown it in the final of Olympic. Though he has to prove a lot to get in this position in the national team.

Our reliance on Tamim and Shakib with the bat is a worry... everyone is praising the 280+ score we managed during the India game... if you take out Shakib and Tamim's score then you don't have much to feel good about... Junaid, Imrul, Mushfiq and Rockibul needs to step up tomorrow and score big runs... they can't just keep producing the 20s and 30s and expect Shakib/Tamim to bail them out every time... for once i would like to see some other batsman grabbing the headlines...

His SR was ok in the last outing. This shows that he can play shots and step up when needed.U have got tamim on other end so imrul can take his time and can cut lose afterwards.tbh on 19th i saw imrul batting for the first time and I am highly impressed.

he has tendency of wasting balls to set in and after setting in and scoring run like 30-40 he gets out most of the time..thats why many people i know(not in the forum) dont like him..but he is a valuable asset to the team..make no mistake about it..he blends in good with tamim, and before he arrived we used be 2 or 3 down very quickly..now a days that doesn't happen much and i'll give more than 50% credit to him for that
if only he can mature and converts his starts to big innings he'll be our one of the most valuable match winners..we cant hope that tamim will click always..imrul needs to step up

This is how our cricket was too, back in the day. Cricketers working full time, and playing cricket. Except the Irish are lot more confident, brave and more professional than our team was when we were associate. They definitely have better facilities than we might have had. Cricket in general is in better position now than it was 10-20 odd years ago. So they are lucky in some ways. But we were luckier to have a big cricket fan-base, lover in the country already.

This is absurdly ridiculous. If you have paid for package you are expected to see every match. I bought a online link which got an option to pick a match if there is an conflict.

My friend sold two club house tickets for 7k. If you consider all the troubles one has to go through to collect one ticket in BD (waiting in the queue for 30 40 hours) its actually nothing.

He has hit a few awesome shots, but a few of his nicks and scratches also got him 4 runs. Unfortunately, the last nick was dragged on to the stamps.
