Default Beating Eng and/or Sri Has To Be Our Plan To Reach QF

1) According to the current form, England and/or Srilanka should be our target in this world cup and prepare accordingly to reach QF

2) According to ground and pitch, England is the most vulnerable team in Adeliade, with a relatively slower wicket for our spinners to be more effective. While Srilanka in Melbourne may be a bit tougher interms of pitch and support.

3) Not giving up on NZ and Aus, but they are proving to be strong and inform, moreover it's their own conditions. So let's play them aas best as we can, while our major planning & preparations efforts should be beating Eng and Sri. Study all their players and strategize batting and bowling a-z. Finally go fully prepared.

4) There is no alternative to beating the minnows. Don't think we need major planning behind them, but still need to have a close look at their Starr performers with bat and ball.

I don't know if anyone has scored a double century @ World Cup. But Sangkara or the England openers have a big chance to do it! Than again you never know.

I think we should also be confident facing New Zealand even though we are facing them at their condition and their home ground. We have banglawashed them twice and we should be confident of beating them. I do agree that the spinners may be almost ineffective in NZ.

All these talk about QF had me go back in time and check the last Wc. We won 3 games. We had Irl/Scot. We took care of Eng! Man! If we didn't mess up the WI game!! How did we NOT make the QF last time? It was basically handed to us! ICC put us in an easy group. This one will be 100x tougher to squeeze through.

we can't beat Eng as we don't have Shophiul
we can't beat Srl as they have Sangakarra

Eventhough Shafiul was instrumental in both of our wins against England, That logic was silly. I kno it was sarcasm

Other group had NZ...we were fresh of 4-0 in the middle of a 7-0 against NZ so for us, maybe the other group was the easy one. Regardless, we screwed ourselves over last time. Time to make up for it here.

beating aus or NZ will be tough because of their form and home condition. If the game played in asian conditions--we would target NZ and England.

Friend, in ODI there are two possible results, a win or a lose. You have to pick a target of these two. So, my point was we need to target win and only win. Otherwise, it will mean that your target is losing so why bother playing the match. Might as well give the opponent a walk over.

It's about planning and strategizing; which needs some time and effort, sticking to a combination, that will be fit for the targeted teams, despite being a little disadvantageous with the non targeted team. Which will give that combination/composition to come out as a cohesive unit to beat the teams u targeted that.

Well practice to put your plans against Eng/SL into action against Aus/NZ too, but that may not be very effective against them and you may lose, but you have prepared for the targeted matches. That's broadly the idea.

Well, I know they weren't exactly playing to win the practice matc, rather trying out polishing their weaker traits to improve. So no worries ... Actual matches will be different

But yes, the batting looks not so good, hope they were just trying things out to adjust to the conditions, so will refrain from doing these things, that didn't work.

One loss against Ireland and everyone becomes shell shocked. Negative thinking will only bring negative results. Be positive.

True

Bangladesh has never been serious with practice matches, but I know that's not right, never accepted that, but have to live with that. Players simply doesn't give their best in practice matches. I think team management fails to motivate them for that, but now I guess it has become our culture.

I'm sure the matches will be different, and we might see the team struggling in first few matches to raise their game.
