We don't know what he is doing in practice, the coach knows. So to say he will be benched purely on test performance may not be 100% true. We know he is not in form and we know his confidence level is low. That itself may translate to all format of the game (not only to TEST).

He's been averaging not even 30 in ODIs since 2015, so no its not ridiculous if he's being benched. But I'd still give him the first ODI.

If Riyad plays the ODIs, he must not bat in the middle/lower middle order. Either bat at no. 3 or get the hell out. He is way too sissy to be a finisher.

Asia cup t20? Forgot the finishing he did? His last BPL wasn't bad. He seems more t20 player now than anything else. I back him for finisher, he definitely knows how to steady a collapse which BD has habbits of having often.

He always relies on the batsmen at the other end to do the hitting. I don't like that.

No doubt, denying. He played his old typical selfish innings, even though he gathered the innings a little bit from lossing wickets, getting bowled out after the good partnership of Sabbir and Soumya. Riyad is lacking confidence, low on form hence why took time wast d balls trying to get back into the contention. Once a selfish, always a selfish!

Meh, its a practice match if it helps him gain back some confidence for the ODI series I don't mind. But these chokes are getting annoying, especially when its 1-2 runs

There's an old saying(or its probably new), that you can't keep a good man down.

A practice match should be a match where you practice and get into a nice groove. The good thing about this match was that BD was able to get 350 plus.

We are ignoring the contributions the batsmen including Riyad made....

বেচারা রিয়াদ! Had we won the practice match, many people would be saying, "Bhua! Why can't he do it in real match?". Now that he done this, people saying Riyad can never do this...

people quickly forget, Without Riyad's contribution in Asia Cup 2016 against UAE, Bangladesh was looking at a potential loss against, you guessed it right. UAE

Did you follow the match or are you talking after seeing the scorecard?
I followed the match throughout and i can tell you we lost because of Ryad.
Practice match or not every other batsman was trying to win the game.

So are we not gonna talk about the horrendously selfish game he played in the practice match? 71 not out and losing by 2 runs?

Or are we gonna go full Kim Jong Un with the censorship in this forum?

Lot of my comments getting removed regarding Mahmadullah and fraud boy Mushy. Sad to see BC become such a regressive echo chamber incapable of handling any other opinions.

Practice match results don't count. What is important is the batsman play their natural game and get some practice.

Average 17 in odi since his back to back hundreds.

And his fielding is awful. A big liability in the team now. Gone case...

I actually think Nasir is by far the perfect replacement for him. Can't do any worse for sure. I don't need 100 in every 10 years... I will be ok with regular 40 in 30 balls and a wicket here and there and outstaning fielding. Remember Nasir was the difference when we beat england recently
