England just needs a tie against WI to have their hopes alive for QF birth.

Just realised this...
if Eng gets beaten on Thursday, we must lose this match 'deliberately' to be on the fourth place and play in Dhaka to face the Aussies
if Eng wins it, we will have to beat SA, then we will be in the third place and have to face SL in Colombo.
I would rather face any team in the home soil and in Colombo!!

S Africa has comprehensively beaten the Irish and has progressed to the quarter finals. I am hearing S africa is planning to rest a couple of bowlers for the match against Bangladesh. I think Tahir and Steyn won't play. Sotsobe will come in . I really really hope De villiers won't be risked against us. If that is the case, we should have a 60% chance of winning this. Fingers crossed!

At the press breifing, Smith sounded like he is not worried about the BD match. He said that their part for reaching Quarter final is done and they want to focus on the other matches,, something sort of that. Today, they didnt play their pacers much either which could be a hint that they did take the game easily and preparing already for the QF matches. I dont think South Africa will be wanting to lose but BD match is their perfect occassion to try their reserve players,,,just as we did against the Dutch..

nope....if england only gets a point against wi.... bd will go through because in the case two teams are tied with point the team with the most wins will go through..but if the win are of equal numbers then only nrr would come into consideration

If that becomes true that will be really good...SA players really need rest for all the hard work and QF..so match against us should not bother them ...SA for champions (except if they get match against BD in final)

Amla, Smith, Kallis, Duminy will defintely go for big ones against us...and now the new ones vanwyk, F du Plessis, Ingram are really good too...pretty much all their 7 batsmen can play spin and also score and in Mirpur I don't think that will be an exception as they adjusted pretty well in all sorts of pitch...they are no longer chokers!...so I wish they are kind enough to rest some of the key batters and including giving break to Steyn and Morkel..(amar mama barir updar)

I say play 40 overs of spin and starve the Saffer chokers of runs. Play Shak, Raj, Naeem and Riyadh. No Shuvo as the Saffers have a good mix of lefties and right-hand bats. Also drop Rubel, bring in Nazmul, take pace off the ball and bowl straight as s***. Restrict RSA for 200-250 runs in 50 overs and then set ourselves up for a Tamim/Imrul special.
PS We better not be playing on the same pitch as vs. IND!!! I want the same pitch as we had vs. IRL.
