Why not? Maybe there are some West Bengalis who would like to play for us. Maybe we can reactivate Ganguly's career. He can be the team captain.

Ganguly wont come. He is just starting his commentary career and he is quite good out there. He will income lots of $$ from IPL commentary.

Hey thats a wonderful idea. Lets poach some players like how england took morgan/joyce/trott. Im sure with the strength of indian batting some good west bengal batsmen might be sitting idle

both of them are engaged with IPL franchises. Stephen Fleming is a dream coach. Look how Chennai doing well in IPL under him.

It doesn't matter! Our players are not men enough to handle the pressure! Shakib literally slapped our faces saying we expected too much from them.... No coach can fix that.
I will definitely keep Pont and Julien though they did their job well, all those poor bowling and mid fielding because they were nervous...

You think it's the coaches fault? It's not Siddons fault theres no brains in bangladesh cricket. The talent in the country of 150 million people like we keep dreaming of isn't there. Bengali people aren't really exceptional at anything. We need to start looking for talent overseas instead, like the Imran Tahirs and the rejects of other national cricket teams. They can play much better than the shitty players we have now.

None of the foreign high profile coaches will want to ruin his career being a coach of our 11 dick heads. Better to look at the local coaches now. No need to spend several thousand dollars of valuable foreign currency every month for this bunch of idiots.

but to get out for 58 against WI mercenaires then to get out for 78 against SA B team ( no steyn morkel ab ..JP )

Let us not throw the baby out with the bathwater! The problem with Bangladesh isn't the lack of qualified and quality people, but the fact that often they're not selected to do what they can better than those who who happened to be doing it. Inferiority complex driven self-loathing, and the subsequent cultivation of the ego lead to nepotism, moral and ethical relativity, and horrible judgment. Lack of accountability enables the cycle to repeat itself more often than we like.

We have the wrong decision makers, and a system that makes you into one once you get your shot. Time to either get involved and fight the long and difficult fight, or take your righteous indignation with a lot of salt.

It is easy to sublimate and project our own s**t in a public forum and bitch and moan until kingdom come. It is easy to pontificate about "what ought not be done" sitting on the proverbial fence and suggest knee-jerk and self-defeating pseudo-solutions but significantly tougher to act and "do what can be done" under very complex, lugubrious circumstances. Think slow and patient process stagnated with setbacks but going forward nonetheless, not an EA Sports event.

Get John Buchanan, arguably the best coach of fthe modern era, creditted for the performances of the invincible Aussies in the late 90s and 2000s. But believe me Bangaldesh will still be a failure, because the problem is not with the coach but with the players. A coach at this level will only fine tune your game and approach and update you with any technical problems but no international coach will teach cricket basics to an international team. So accept this reality though its bitter for once this will be the beginning of your progress.
