Anyone else lost interest in BD cricket?
Or am I being too harsh on this?

Not me. Failure to qualify for the qf stage may be a blessing in disguise. If Siddons leaves, there is a good chance our cricket will be back on track for progress (not the the fake progress he eluded us all this time).
A-team tours are coming up in time, and they will be followed by series against teams closer to our strength. This is the wrong time to stop following Bangladesh cricket.

I would urge people not to take day off work just to watch BD matches or watch BD matches before next days' exams. You can always watch highlights if BD win a match. I feel sorry for the fans who queued up all those days and bought tickets to the matches and were treated to such rubbish.

There is no escape from cricket if you are a Bangladeshi until something else become popular in India.

I like cricket.
And I am not gonna stop watching it just because my team lost a match.

Our match against WI was our lowest point in the world cup. The way our boys bounced back in the following two matches was super cool. After reaching another low, I'm interested to see how they respond in the next matches against the Aussies.

If it was that easy BC wouldn't exist. Been there, done that.
1994, 2003... and many more.

I am happy we didn't "prematurely" win the World Cup. Then it'd be a fata morgana. Dream. I'd rather we earn our spot than just hit upon some careless wins synchronicitically. It's like you can't expect to get a phd in one day or a black belt in one year. It will take years before we reach the World Cup final and actually win it. We will win when the time is ready. Then it will happen automatically and naturally.
So based on that BD has made tremendous strides. It's just these occasional glimpses of brain fart matches gives us reflections of what we used to be.

YOU deserve to open a new thread....i believe those two innings of 58 and 78 were not because of cricketing abilites, but of factors beyond our control....bet even in the most toughest bowling conditions, we wuldnt loose like this...it all happened when we were EXPECTING TO WIN at all costs....and also to the verge of stoning our cricketers if we dint...with that kind of expectation, humans are professionals, but not immortals.....theres a limit.....and fans make up the part of bangladesh cricket.....the way we react has an impact, and that was the reason..its all bullshit when people tell we freak out when we are expected to win matchs...oh yeah, so what with the ireland game, netherlands, game, and arguably the greatest comeback against england considering the lowest of the lowest of the seemingly eternal low we reached against wi.....
we are still progressing...the hard work has been done...now is the time to start working extra hard for the the foundations laid by previous hard wok...we are destined for some phenomenal achievements in 2015 world cup....u see

we won half our matches(yes two against lesser opponents) yet people are speaking of losing interest...I wonder how the same people reacted after the debacle of 2003?
You want to speak of humiliation, embarrassment.
-Canada won by 60 runs
-Sri Lanka won by 10 wickets
-South Africa won by 10 wickets
-NZ won by 7 wickets
-Kenya won by 32 runs
-West Indies denied a win by rain, we were 32/2 chasing 245.
So in summary, 5 matches played, 5 humiliations, with rain saving us from from having the same fate as Namibia(Zero Points), every other country won a match at the world cup.

I think Bangladesh played as they were expected to in this world cup. I'm pretty sure originally they targeted WI, Ireland and Netherlands as must-win matches to make it to the finals but they substituted the WI with England. They still managed to win those 3 crucial matches but the sad part is that South Africa lost to England which made all the difference for BD. They're a young team and if these players can continue to play together (well some of them need to be dumped), they can grow into stronger team.

Perfectly put.

Will never lose interest... those who has (or, goes through certain withdrawal syndromes) are not true fans. Most of them are whimsical bandwagon people who usually come out of hibernation every 4 years to beat around the bush a bit. The life of a Bangladesh cricket fan is tough and we'll go through this time and time again, but the bleeding will stop one day. I always have faith.

Alex, you join here on 20th of Feb and by 20th of March, you are loosing your interest on BD cricket ?? Wow !!
We have withstood far far worse than this, some already mentioned above.
We have went thru 5 years without a win.
We have seen feeble associates humiliate us.
We have seen Vass striking 4 times in one opening over in a world cup.
We have seen Nightwatchman scoring double century.
But we have also witnessed historic wins, jubilant celebration and what belief can do.
Yes, we are a bit down and low at the moment, but will Never, Inshallah Never EVER, lose interest in BD cricket for good. Some would go temporarily, some would be for a longer than that, but no one would go for good.
We are here to stay.
