Default Bangladeshi Coach

Do any exist that have international qualification/experience excluding sourav ganguly.

I can't help but appreciate how well Pakistan is doing under a pakistani head coach.

btw I would get wasim akram as coach if he would take the job.

Ganguly is not a bangladeshi. He's not even a coach for that matter either. And what makes you think he wants to coach Bangladesh?

IMO for Bangladesh we should never use an Asian head coach let alone Bangladeshi coach. Most of Bangladesh's achievments have come under a non Asian coach. When BD lost to Canada if I can recall correctly a Paki coach was there.

Pakistan is doing well under Waqar because they are really talented, unlike ours. Even under such disfunctional board and losing key players before the WC, they are pulling it off. But their success rate in this WC is so high due to the playing condition. Had the WC been in a SA or Aus, they wouldn't have done this well.

Waseem Akram may be the best left handed fast bowler ever played cricket but his right hand is equally as crooked. His personality and ability is more suitable as a consultant but not as a full time coach...........in fact that would be true for Ganguly as well. When it comes to South Asian coaches, professionalism is not on the cards. And to maintain such a young group of players with limited talent like ours, we need a coach who is thoroughly professional and hard working as well as high on ethics.

We had so many issues with our board and infra-structure. Only good thing is we had a great non-asian cricket coaches. I am not saying BDs cannot be coaches but the time hasn't come yet. When we will have former players like Miandad, Gavaskar, Kapil, we can surely try BD coach. But untill then, our standards are whatmore, eddie barlow, gordon greeneze, Ian Pont, Jamie siddons. EVen Siddons was a kid in terms of stretagy or head coach, but as a great batting coach. Under no way, we should use one of the paki/indian around our team. Well, SL coaches as head coach may not be suitable, but they are better personal/professional.
We need high visible coaches like Whatmore not only because they are very professional, they also helps us in diplomacy. WHatmore saved our a** a lot of time by defending our test status and future.
So we should may be consider some one like Steve Wagh, Mark Taylor, Tom Moddy..

Playing skill and reputation has nothing to do with being a good coach... Wasim Akram or Ganguly isn't the solution... The way our ex players were backing Ashraful to be played at the top order suggests most of them aren't head coach material... We need someone who is immune to deshi culture and politics

Pakistan cricket has good talents coming into the national side their domestic structure is very competitive unlike ours even their school kids have good batting and bowling techniques their cricket overall is better than our no matter who is their coach, they will always have good players coming into the national side, so i dont think Pakistan's coach created any impact waqar is a senior player and they listen to him and his instructions properly that's all .
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BD coach

If you really are a batsmen your average should be 40+ not 23 ,23 is an average for low oder batsmen even stuart broad fast bowler has average of 27 . I guess BD people are emonionally attached to that Sa and Australia win that they think ashrafool is the solution but those matches are flukes we can win without his involvement which means he hasn't got any talents whatsoever

Careful now, this might get the 'ex-players are God' group riled up against you. Remember they are all masterminds.

Whoever is chosen needs to be strict, BD players need to be mentally tougher. Other than rafique I do not have any respect for the former players, having observed their technique and general shot selection. The coach can only do so much, if our players don't start pulling up their socks and we don't produce quality players who specialise at certain positions i.e opening batsmen, no 4s, power hitters etc rather than bits and pieces players who do a bit of each but are not very good at either, even if we get the best coach possible we'll still churn out dodgy results.

Er look what happened to Pakistan at the last WC under a foreign coach?

Maybe the condition's are helping being sub-continent but they are doing 100x better under a pakistani coach. I'm not saying selecting an asian or bangladeshi coach is a must but it's an option that must not be over-looked.

Ganguly is not Bangladeshi. Wasim Akram is not a fulltime coach. Not sure about the level of certifications our coaches have. Aminul Islam is working with the Asian Cricket Council and was in charge of China. Salahuddin is going to work with the Academy in Malaysia. I think another of our ex-bowlers (Saiful or Monjurul) is also probably working with the Chinese Womens' team.

I guess at this stage it is probably more beneficial to have a foreign coach.

there is none at this moment. we need to collect from UK, SA or AUS where coaches are professionals. We tried Asian and WI coach before, the experience was terrible. Remember Amarnath and Mohshin days, dark days of BD cricket

Coaches from India and Pakistan are curse for our cricket for some reason. If u disagree with me then I shall urge to have a look at the records of Indian and Pak coaches we had before. For us coaches from Australia, UK or SA will be better IMO. At the end of the day its our players who have to perform in the field. Our players are very weak mentally, physically and even skill wise. So its better not to expect too much from them.

Wiser words were never spoken.

Indians and Pakistani coaches have brought nothing but failure for our cricket. They are evil. Evil, I say!

Apart from Bulbul do we have any coach who is competent to coach any A team or academy team of test playing nation? I dont think so.
Sujon already proved a brainless idiot. He is in coaching mean disturbance of tranquility in the team. Sarwar Imran, Wahidul Goni etc simply dont belong to be there.
Bulbul is a wise man. He will coach BD someday and gradually making himself ready for the job.
I hope Khaled Masud will also follow the footstep. He is also very able person for the duty.
