Default Fault lies in the BCB not the coach-BD doesn't even have full time batting coach

Siddons has done a good job coaching. I don't think the batting issues lie with him but lies on the BCB. He's not only responsible for batting development but he's responsible for development in almost every aspect for each player as well. BCB hasn't even hired a full time batting coach. They haven't given him a good list to work with. It's a shame that people are stupid enough to blame Siddons.

You are right. 58 me once, shame on you; 78 me twice, shame on ME.

So it's siddons fault the team got all out for 58? This lies on the players not the coach.

What has BCB done to improve Bangladesh cricket for the last 4-5 years? Siddons has done a lot to improve the players. BCB spent last 4-5 years prepping for hosting world cup.

SIDDONS himself said a lot of time he is manly a batting coach. the team management deals with the tactical and strategy issues and he is a small part of that.

anyway SIDDONS was also responsible for the security of players and food of security personnel

Siddons coaches more than batting. A head coach has a much much bigger role than batting. They're responsible for scouting opposition teams, coming up with plans for certain games, tracking batting order and etc. You can't expect a head coach to replace the role of a batting coach.

No matter how many coaches you bring, I don't see it in the players, they are not good enough to compete against the big boys. Only Shakib is world class, less said about others the better. Why blame BCB or Coach? BCB has done a lot so far, bringing in Ian Pont and Julein Fountain, they are doing whatever they can, it's not their fault if our players are incompetent.

To me all responsibility goes to:
1.Corrupt BCB with its president.
2.Failure or Head coach/Batting Coach

so if sid not using the right players for the right place why blaming bcb? Sid coached 2 t20 also. What the results were we know well. Our domestic is now more stronger...players from the domestic are doing well like imrul, shuvo, shafiul, mahmudullah, nazmul...but we r not giving them enough chances. We are relying more on the young boys. First of all think the facts first then make ur view dear friend..in 2007 we qualified both t20 and 50 over wc with vangachora team...coz coach & selectors planed well. So blame goes only to sid and rafiq...no one else.

So its Siddons' credit when we win and progress but posting all time lows within a span of 4 games is the players' fault?

Even in the India match, the 370 was the bowlers' fault but the 283 that was all Siddons.

কোচের রকমফের আছে, কিন্তু আমাদের খেলোয়ারদের আরো অনেক বেশী পরিশ্রম করতে হবে।
Ian, in his posts, hinted about the 'sport culture' of Bangladesh being different and by different he meant to say players needed to work much more harder to compete at this level.

BCB Has paid Siddons thousands of $$$$$$$$ to do that work. You make it sound like Siddons was doing it for free. Look where he has got us.

He is the specialist batting coach. He got bowling fielding coaches... so back off man.

Ok... ta na hoi manlam its all BCB's fault.

Kintu Musolmaaner ek kotha..."Taklu Da must go!!"

If Siddon has indeed done a great job, he shouldn't have any problem getting even better and bigger job elsewhere. Tamim can give a recoomendation letter.

So in that case I see its a WIN WIN situation. Sometimes even a great coach need a break and need to move somewhere else and have a new start. It'same with team. Siddon repeatedly said his players doen't follow his game plan and his players are making same mistakes repeatedly. He also said this set of players should b eplaying 4 more years and will grow.

That means, even if the message is good (which is highly debatable), the messenger need to be changed for the players to follow the message, as messenger is becomming ineffective.

we never had a coach on whom we were satisfied. BCB and fans always made the coaches
as escape goats. But is the problem with our coach? or is it with the BCB and mentality
of our players? I am not a big fan of Siddons. I don't care wehether we fire him or keep
him. My concern is when BCB will admit its faults and limitations! Is it going to happen ever?
Can we have a dynamic BCB before we have a foreign coach?
