we have to score more than 218 to show that we r better than bcb xi!!...aus scored less then 308 so the 1st part was done

They could have played on till the 33rd over...have the drinks break... bat on the 34th to get the groove back and then take PP on the 35th....
launch it from there on and see how far you can make from the next 30 balls....
Its really all about strategies....and they more often than not, gets it wrong.
