Default Analyze This (batting)

Here is just a rubric or checklist for you all to analyze your favorite players during summer. [Will edit it with more criteria as thread progresses and members chime in.]

Ability to rotate strikes:
Powerhitting/Slogging:
Physically built/strength:
Backlift/stance:
Position relative to crease:
Front foot-backfoot shots/weight transfer/balance:
Footwork during batting:
SR above hundred? (ODI):
Average above 30? (ODI):
Grafting ability/ 'endurance' in terms of minutes:
Preferred zone of scoring:
Wagonwheel:



Dismissals (majority):
Stamina:
Position yielding "more success"/runs:
Follow-through or straight-bat/cross-bat shots:
General flaw with technique:
Natural instinct? Aggressive? Defensive?:
Best innings? In terms of?:

Best innings? In terms of?: None, yet. He is yet to score a century. He has potential but he doesn't capitalize on it. Although it's noted he comes lower down the order or to do repair work when top order fails.

(Well, unless you're just comparing him to other members of the team, in which case you might be right!) But in all honesty an SR of 65.60 is pretty slow for someone who comes low down the order. You don't have to be a particularly belligerent batsman to be able to maintain a SR of 75-80.

Agreed. 'Good' by Int'l standard but yes compared to his teammates it's can be termed 'excellent.'

I've have been doing it for the last couple of years for my team, not to this extent of course, it will be an overkill for an amateur team like ours. But it definitely opens up people's eyes.......especially to their weaknesses. This is so time consuming that you almost feel like having a full time statistician.

Good job putting all these together Zeeshan.

One flaw I can see is the 100+ SR, only ten players in the World have that... And 7 from test playing nations. No Eng, no Aus, SA, SL, players there, why on earth would mahmudullah be there. 100+ SR is rare, maybe 80 is more viable
