Our Batsmen and LBW:
So far of this match both our opening batsmen got themselves out with leg before wicket (LBW). This kind of thing is happening time and time. Where is the problem? Is it in their technique, skill?
I would say it’s in the stance of our batsmen. Most of our batsmen, somewhat, have had the tendency to play with leg stump guard through out their career. This (standing on leg stump) eventually, does help them to score more runs in a slow pitch like our subcontinent, in contrast has become a curse for them in a bouncy pitch. In a slow pitch ball rarely comes to bat and batsmen can freely shuffle their feet from leg stump to middle to adjust their balance. Although, I haven’t seen the match live (coz here, we don’t have espn broadcast), I think our batsmen were doing the same thing. Standing on the leg stump and shuffling their feet not only make them unconscious on their off stumps (increasing the possibility of caught behind and plate on) but also do usher them to be out LBW as the ball comes faster than the slow pitch. I do hope our batsmen in a pitch like Harare Sports Ground should reconsider their stance and take middle or leg-middle stump guard. It would then help them to play more naturally through the off side (the space between the batsmen and the off stump would be lessen) and simultaneously, they can play the good length balls without shuffling (coz the three stumps are in much more blocked position to be bowled out) and eventually, the chance of leg before wicket would be fewer. Besides, seeing the batsmen standing on their middle stump the opponent bowlers would bowl some middle-leg stump line ball which can be heaved to the fence by our batsmen who are sometimes called very wristy by characteristics.
Hopefully, our batsmen will learn from the mistake and apply this in the second innings.
Looking forward to hearing something positive from our beloved team.

Another point
Not only stressing the technical side of batting and the correct stance. Also, another elementary skill is handy.
I mean, keeping an eye on the ball. Observing the ball as soon it leaves the bowlers hand, I believe, is where you can also grab an advantage. Only then you are in the best position to play the delivery. it boils down to focus.

I think Bangladeshi umpires have some contributions to this. Usually they are not that strict when they umpiring at domestic leagues. That cause our starts to make a bad habit of playing cross batted shot. And in international level they are getting the results of that!!
This theory did not come from my head... once Akram khan talked like this after a Sarjah cup.
