It has been pretty dead since the Australia series ended. It's these big gaps between Games and so on, which makes these middle periods awkward. I think the ICC should spread games out more evenly, so a series has a test in the first month, followed by Odi's rather than 3 weeks and boom. finished.

He was lively before the world cup and during it. He even helped me a bit with my exams. But times change, people also begin to get interested in other things, people become busy etc. Now it is just those with to much free time on their hands. . . Like me

I go to Central Foundation Boys' school if you've ever heard of it. It's on old street, it's not that far from canary wharf.

Tamim
Nafees
Junayed
Ash
Shakib
Alok
Dhiman
Shabbir
Razzaq
Shafi
Nazmul

bench: Forhad Reza, Rubel Hossain, Shuvogoto Hom, Imrul
Mashrafe is a must in if he is fit... No Mushy, Riyad, Naeem and avoid Imrul as long as needed. They can concentrate more in ODIs and Tests

I am not sure why you want to include Nazimuddin, Aftab and Syed Rasel in the squad. None of them is performing well. As a matter of fact, they are not even playing average in the domestic crickets. There are far better cricketers right now. Rubel is good, but what about Mashrafe or Shafiul? They are ahead of Rubel. With your team, we are bound to fail

Anyone wants to weigh in on my decision to open with Ashraful? We can at least experiment, no?

Well its a no from me, Tamim does not look the most comfortable in T20 so we need someone that does tp back him up. Ash was never good at backing up so for me its Nafees or Junayed. I would rather give players like Shabbir, Forhad, Shuvogoto a chance ahead of him

Tamim
Zunayed
Nafees
Ash
Aftab
Shakib
Dhiman
Mashrafe
Shafiul
Razzak
Rasel/Sabbir/Shuvo (depending on conditions)

Nazimuddin could also be tried out in this team in the middle order or opening.

for T20, we dont need a stablizing pair of batsmen, if things go south, any of these guys can hold off for a few overs before exploding. the only thing this team lacks is an offspinner, when we play spin retard teams like west indies or ireland. hopefully ashraful can swing arms to get some off spin then.

It is good to let Shakib off captaincy, it will relieve some pressure. He will be offered captaincy again in a few years when he will be more than ready, Bangladesh will voyage into a new horizon then

I think the board should start thinking abut building 3 different squads for Test, ODI and T20.

rinat, let's assume that T20 records aren't going down the Annals for a while and should be a platform best for experimenting. Ash has a natural instinct of aggression with Tamim -when instigated to explode. Question remains can they too find the chemistry and balance required to bat in tandem? While ago, people talked about Ash as a good role for #7 but the thing is that's a WILDCARD SLOT OF UNCERTAINTY. You never know what the score's gonna be; whilst, if Ash faces the new ball and starts with blank slate with carte blanche given to pinch-hit in opening PP overs, in my opinion, management can at least gamble this opening starting with first class matches in ODI or in T20 so as not to affect the team's ranking.

The problem with experimenting is we dont have a strong, consistent middle order.. Its a huge gamble to risk our opening stand specially with Ash. Unless we play some associates, its a big gamble... plus we have 4 ready openers.. Tamim, Imrul, Junayed, Nafees. We also have Niaz who is effective in T20. So why give Ash a chance for his own advantage to see if he shines?
