BCB Confirmed Five more Foreign Player's signed for BPL!! Till now five more foreign players have signed BPL agreement. Previously Chris Gayle agreed to play BPL but today he has signed the agreement of BPL. বিপিএল’র সঙ্গে পাঁচ বিদেশির চুক্তি
বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগ (বিপিএ)’র টি-টোয়েন্টি ক্রিকেটের সঙ্গে চুক্তিবদ্ধ হয়েছেন পাঁচ ক্রিকেটার। বিপিএল গভর্নিং কাউন্সিলের সচিব নিশ্চিত করেছেন ক্রিকেটারদের চুক্তির বিষয়টি।
আগে ক্রিস গেইল মৌখিকভাবে প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করলেও রোববার আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে চুক্তিবদ্ধ হয়েছেন। চুক্তিবদ্ধ হওয়া বাকি চার ক্রিকেটার হলেন ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজের শিবনরায়ন চন্দরপল, ইংল্যান্ডের ম্যাট প্রায়র, অস্ট্রেলিয়ার স্টুয়ার্ট ম্যাকগিল ও শ্রীলঙ্কার অজন্তা মেন্ডিস। এই পাঁচ ক্রিকেটারের মধ্যে ম্যাকগিলের বয়স ৪০ বছর ৩১০ দিন। চন্দরপলের ৩৭ এবং ক্রিস গেইলের বয়স ৩২ বছর। SOURCE

বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগে (বিপিএল) কোচ হতে আগ্রহী বাংলাদেশের সাবেক কোচ জেমি সিডন্স। জাতীয় ক্রিকেট একাডেমির সাবেক কোচ রস টার্নার এবং জিম্বাবুয়ের সাবেক অধিনায়ক ও প্রধান নির্বাচক অ্যালিস্টার ক্যাম্পবেলও বিপিএলে কোচ হওয়ার আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছেন ।
বিপিএল গভর্নিং কমিটির সভাপতি গাজী আশরাফ হোসেন লিপু সোমবার এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন। বিপিএলের প্রথম আসর শুরু হচ্ছে ১০ ফেব্র“য়ারি থেকে। প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নেবে ৬টি দল। তবে ৬টি বিভাগের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করা দলগুলোর নাম এখনো ঠিক হয়নি। গত এপ্রিলে অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিপক্ষে ওয়ানডে সিরিজ শেষে সিডন্সের সঙ্গে চুক্তির মেয়াদ নবায়ন না করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিবি)। গাজী আশরাফ হোসেন লিপু বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকমকে বলেন, “অনেক দিন ধরেই তিনি (সিডন্স) বিপিএলের কোনো একটি দলের কোচ হিসেবে কাজ করার আগ্রহ দেখাচ্ছেন। বিপিএল সম্পর্কে নিয়মিত খোঁজ-খবরও নিচ্ছেন তিনি।” “জিম্বাবুয়ের সাবেক অধিনায়ক অ্যালিস্টার ক্যাম্পবেল ও রস টার্নারও কোচ হতে আগ্রহ দেখিয়েছেন। তবে আমরা এখনও এ সম্পর্কে কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত নেইনি,” যোগ করেন তিনি। লিপু আরও জানান, “এখনো দল কেনা ও নামকরণের মতো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজ বাকি আছে। আগে ওগুলো শেষ হোক, তারপর কোচ নিয়ে ভাবা যাবে।” SOURCE

Maybe Siddons could be hired to coach the Chittagong team. See if it has any effect on Tamim. Ian should be contacted to coach a team as well.

In order to sustain BPL, BCB should start having home and away matches just like in IPL. If you are playing all the matches in Dhaka and Chittagong, then BPL is doomed to be a failure. I am pretty sure people are not gono drive all the way from Sylhet or Khulna to watch matches in Dhaka. All the BPL teams need a home base of support in their own district. BCB needs to get out of its Dhaka-centric mentality and look to grow the game every where in the country.

Second match of the day will start at 12:30 p.m GMT...can someone translate the time in eastern time.. please

ঢাকা: বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগে (বিপিএল) আরও বিদেশি তারকা ক্রিকেটারের নাম যোগ হয়েছে। ভারতের তারকা ক্রিকেটারদের না পাওয়া গেলেও পাকিস্তান জাতীয় দলের অনেকেই নাম লিখিয়েছেন বিপিএলে। বিপিএল গভর্নিং কাউন্সিলের সম্পাদক সিরাজউদ্দিন মোহাম্মদ আলমগীর বাংলানিউজকে জানান, পাকিস্তানের সাবেক অধিনায়ক শহীদ আফ্রিদি, আব্দুর রাজ্জাক, তৌফিক ওমর তাদের এজেন্টের মাধ্যমে বিপিএল’র সঙ্গে চুক্তিবদ্ধ হয়েছেন। এছাড়া নিউজিল্যান্ডের রায়ান এডামস ও অস্ট্রেলিয়ার এরোন ফিলস চুক্তিবদ্ধ হয়েছেন। বিপিএল গ্রাউন্ডস কমিটির সদস্য শফিকুর রহমান মুন্না জানান, মঙ্গলবার পর্যন্ত ১১১ জন বিদেশি ক্রিকেটার বিপিএল’র সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত হয়েছেন। নিলামের আগে সংখ্যাটা আরও বাড়বে বলে আশা করেন তিনি।
