Nannes and Gibbs unsold? Do these guys even follow cricket? Azar Mahmud? Really? Jayasuriya? Really? What is this some kinda love for their brown brothers?

How much did ESPN pay for this!! Im loving how ESPN is going all over cricket these days since they lost rights to NHL and Rugby! NICE!

Agree with youre post but not about Mahmud. He is a quality T20 performer, in the Englihs T20 last summer averaged 40 odd with the bat IIRC, took plenty of wickets. Similarly he has been very good in the T20 NZ comp. It is a crime no-one has bought Nannes. He is lethal in T20s.

I think the reason is Nannes is not available until the end of the tournament !!!

is the commentary gonna be in english or bangla? i think in espn it should be english and in ch 9 it should be bangla and one more thing is ATHAR ALI KHAN gonna commentate or no? cuz i think it wouldnt be unfair for him to commentate cuz he is with duronto's

if that is the case, why does he do commentary when bangladesh play because he is from bangladesh ?

The point is commentators objective is not to take sides but represent their side.

Since ESPN will be broadcasting BPL along with Channel 9, which camera team will telecast the match?

CH9 has bought the TV rights of the BPL. ESPN can broadcast via Ch9 production.

However, i feel, Ch9 may sell the rights to ESPN in exchange of money and free feed to televise matches on CH9 as ESPN has better facilities and contracted commentators.

I don't blame the foreign players. Its all fault of 'Game On' event management. I highly doubt whether they have actually discussed with these foreign players ensuring their availability. They even did not check players' other commitments during that period otherwise how come these players are opting out just 1/2 days after the auction ? Its not that they suddenly got call from national team. No doubt all the players have showed interest playing in BPL, but event management did not work out how they will play in BPL despite their other commitments. Now, BPL is becoming a joke every time foreign players are opting out.

foreign players der kheta puri, amra ekai eksho,ei shujog e ekta joss T20 tournament hoye jabe and will help us to find out better cricketers of our country,improve our T20 performance,

সব মিলিয়ে বারিশাল বার্নার্সের ক্রিকেটারের সংখ্যা দাঁড়ালো ১৮ জনে। আফগানিস্তানের হামিদ হাসান, অস্ট্রেলিয়ার ব্রাড হজ, পাকিস্তানের ইয়াসির আরাফাত, আহমেদ শাহজিদ, রমিজ রাজা জুনিয়র ও ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজের ক্রিস গেইলকে নিলাম থেকে কিনেছিলো তারা।

বরিশালের আইকন ক্রিকেটার শাহরিয়ার নাফিস। বাকি নয় জন স্থানীয় ক্রিকেটার হলেন মোঃ মিথুন, সোহরাওয়ার্দী শুভ, আল আমীন, আলাউদ্দিন বাবু, ফরহাদ হোসেন, কামরুল ইসলাম রাব্বি, মমিনুল হক, নাজমুল হোসেন অপু ও সোহাগ গাজী।

বিপিএল’র টাইটেল স্পন্সর ডেসটিনি গ্রুপ

ঢাকা: বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগ (বিপিএল)’র টাইটেল স্পন্সর হতে যাচ্ছে ডেসটিনি গ্রুপ। কথাবার্তা পাকাপাকি হয়ে আছে। দুই পক্ষের মধ্যে আনুষ্ঠানিক চুক্তি হবে ২৮ জানুয়ারি।

সূত্র জানায়, ডেসটিনি গ্রুপ সাত কোটি টাকা দিয়ে এক বছরের জন্য টাইটেল স্পন্সর হতে আগ্রহ দেখিয়েছে। জাঁকজমকপূর্ণ অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে দ্বিপাক্ষিক চুক্তি হবে। চুক্তি করবে বিপিএল ব্যবস্থাপনার দায়িত্বে থাকা গেম অন স্পোর্টস ম্যানেজমেন্ট।

টুর্নামেন্ট থেকে আয়-ব্যয়ের সমস্তটাই গেম অন স্পোর্টস ম্যানেজমেন্টের। এখান থেকে আয় করেই বিসিবিকে অর্থ প্রদান করবে ভারতীয় এই ইভেন্ট ম্যানেজমেন্ট প্রতিষ্ঠান।

প্রতিযোগিতার বাকি স্পন্সর যোগারের জন্যও জোর চেষ্টা চলছে। দেশের ভেতর থেকেই স্পন্সরগুলো যোগার করা সম্ভব বলে মনে করেন বিপিএল গভর্নিং কাউন্সিলের কর্মকর্তারা।
