Bhai, ami gorib manush - franchise spell kora is a big deal for me, ami abar purchase korbo? hahha....
Anywayz...got the tickets! They are selling like crazy - I think the stadium will be just about full(lots of people buying tickets for the final too). The nominal rise in price isn't bothering anyone.
Dhaka Bank - Dhanmondi said they no longer had tickets for the Eastern Stand(Tk. 300), and the North Stand(Tk.500) was just about gone too...rest weren't going to be around till closing time.
When I was leaving, there were around 80 people in line behind me and it was barely 11am.

I say go for western gallery youll have some protection from the sun in a day game
But since you are paying for so many go for a normal gallery. The international gallery, southern northern gallery are very expensive

Arun Lal announced it in the presentation ceremony today. So that frees up one of the overseas slots, and the other one will most likely be vacated by Darren Stevens, so that Afridi and Ajmal can come in. I think Dhaka should also drop Anamul and play Dhiman.

Whole world uses NRR or bonus points, where did they come up with this head-to-head crap? And why wait till today to reveal this? The table for the entire tournament showed NRR only and suddenly today they show head-to-head?

Are you f-ing kidding me?
Another instance of the people in charge making up the rules as they go? From the commentators to the players, everyone was calculating NRR

I wonder whether BCB is to be blamed or BPL governing committee?? Who cares, it should be run by BCites who have ten time more the intelligence of the officials
Its not a matter of which team goes on and which team gets out, pathetic to introduce a decision when the tournament is almost at its end

^Have we had any reactions from the owners of the Barisal franchise? Can't imagine they're going to accept this very easily

@Playmaker, as far as I understand they didn't make this H2H rule up today. It was there from the beginning, but the commentators and even the officials weren't aware of it. So, there's nothing unfair -- although the confusion is harsh for the Barsial team.

It's fair if the rule was there from the beginning. Frankly, I'm not sure whether NRR > H2H or vice versa. Both make sense, regardless of what the norm is.
Now if they just made it up after the Barisal game, then it's a huge mistake.

Given how hastily everything has been put together, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

But in the last 48-72 hours when everyone and their elementary school kid has been sitting around calculating all the different permutations for NRR qualification, including the on air commentators and pundits, surely you'd think someone from the board would have said....
pssst...pssst...fellas, umm, we're actually going to go by H2H, not NRR.

Everything worked perfectly, just that at the last moment they made an adjustment.
I wonder how Brad Hodge is feeling
