English players warned over BPL
English cricket remains "very nervous" about the participation of players in the Bangladesh Premier League and has warned those taking part of the risks. The head of the players' union does not believe any significant improvements have been made since last year's controversial debut edition.


Alex Hales, Luke Wright and Ravi Bopara are the highest-profile English players to have been bought by franchises although a host of other county cricketers have been snapped up. Michael Lumb and James Taylor, who both play for Nottinghamshire alongside Hales, withdrew from the auction. TBH Simon its needed. There was so many issues last year. Some of the players still have not been paid.

I hope that they fix the ticket price right this time and make it affordable. It was pretty sad to see empty stands during the first BPL. I think with the WI series win and the fact that the games will move to different cities will create a new buzz.. who will be the announcer this time? What was her name again?

The tournament would be more attractive if all teams could play home and away system. BCB should take step to prepare stadiums to do it.

Bangladesh only has 3 good stadiums in Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna, the others are not upto to standard and need a lot of renovation. The silly thing about our stadiums is that they're low in capacity seating wise for a nation of more than a 100 million, even Sri Lanka has more seats than us. Also accommodation is also the issue in places like Syhlet or Rajshahi as there are no 5 star hotels.

Bogra stadium is also a good international venue but it is unused because of political issue probably. It may home venue of Rajshahi.
