Actually, I'm considering putting Lala in the XI as a specialist batsman.

Another humiliating defeat for us. Our players got too big headed and arrogant here. The way Shakib and Tamim were talking before going into Zimbabwe that it was going to be a walk in the park and we were just going to run over Zimbabwe. Now they have to eat their own words. The difference between us and Zim is that the Zim players worked hard and we didn't, it's simple as that. Our bowling is looking toothless our batsmen can't seem to apply themselves in the middle. This should serve as a wake up call for our players and selectors.

Well at least Shakib has backed it up with his performance, Tamim on the other hand just needs to shut up and complain about not being able to play county more, or cry to Tendulkar why the IPL didn't buy him. See Nasir, he played well because he has not been in any victories so isn't big headed, unlike the others who thought that they can beat Ireland and that the WI will fail to chase 58....

This is from another post I made:
Only through darkness and pain can you achieve greatness, it won't be handed to you on a plate. Talent can only take you so far. You need commitment, dedication and self belief, and the belief that anything is possible. Take Malinga's Double Hat-trick, that was an act of not giving up, and for not standing down. Sports is like war in some respects, and the more you stand up and the bigger you courage and heart, the more you will turn heads. Did we give up against New Zealand defending 174? No. And although we might not always defend those scores, you must try, and if you try, there is nothing else anyone can ask you for. You can't blame someone for trying their hardest and losing, but I for one do not want to accept giving up before the match is even lost. Our Tigers will make us proud, they will make Bangladesh proud, and I hope for their sakes, they make themselves proud. Whether we like it or not, even the best won't perform all the time, but what they do is they try. You pick yourself up, shake the winning teams hands, and you come back to fight another day. We might not be the best, but I sure as hell am always proud of Bangladesh cricket. When I talk with my mates and there like ''What has Bangladesh done?'' I hold my head up high, and I say ''More for us Bengali's than any of you can ever imagine''. We are a country full of passionate people, and passionate we shall remain for our lifetimes, and the cricketers we have want to perform, they want to do well. They may not be Steyn's, or Cook's or Sewhag's, but what they are is a team which has given so much to our nation, they are the one consistent source of happiness you can find, and at least every year, when we perform to our abilities, it is like Eid is here once more. We don't need to be like India or any other nation for that matter. We need to be ourselves, and only then can we truly excel.

I think for the next game, all the bowlers should be playing as the specialist batsmen and all the batsmen should be playing as the specialist bowlers. So, Abdur Razzak and Shafiul should open and Ashrafool and Imrul should open the bowling

I have no doubt we'll lose this one also. The unholy combination of unforced cricketing errors, misplaced and delusional arrogance, and sugar-coating either flukish or individual performance related victories while not learning to find the gaps and rotate the strike with ease will only get you so far.
Others, despite incredible obstacles and less popular interest in the game, move forward while our spoiled Matobbors, Hudmahs and Waqads scurry around in circles like bitchy little rodents. Then there's the retarded talk of giving a local league "first class status" without considering how that kind of waqaddimah and hadimut only strengthens the fundamental problem while weakening the probable solution.
Everything that can go wrong will continue to go wrong in this tour. Whether we take the right steps to aptly demonstrate our own capacity to learn from this unending disaster, something that started with 58 and 78 AO and a couple of flukish wins in the WC, remains to be seen as always.
El Pollo has finally come home to roost.

I was. I'm impressed by his generation as a whole and that includes Rumman with all of his temperament issues. I long to see better players like those two, Shubhagauto (an outsider from Shakib's generation) Fazle Rabbi, Anamoul Haq Bijauy, Shubhashish Roy, Alauddin Babu (for his batting only, NOT the bhodai bowling), Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Nur Hossain Munna make their mark at the highest level.

^Thanks for the response Sohel bhai. Ya I agree that the younger generation seems promising. I'm hoping that these younger players continue to improve and at a quick rate because we have so many holes in our team. Also I really want to see Shuvagoto in action. I don't know what's taking so long for the management to try him out when guys like Ash and Riyad have been struggling so much.

The guys I've mentioned cannot possibly do any worse than the experienced bunch busy making those holes even bigger as we speak.

^You think those guys would be ready for international cricket right now? I mean seeing how good Nasir did today, it wouldn't surprise me. His skills looked far better then our so called "experienced" batsmen in my opinion.

i am scared to dream with this guys anymore..Nafees Iqbal in his under 19 days were more promising then fazle rabbi IMHO but look at this guy now..i dont even know if he is alive or not..gone with the wind...we always had potential but not players who are able to fulfill that potential

Nafees Iqbal, who once called English bowlers "ordinary", has psychosomatic issues far more debilitating than those of another player with plenty of natural cricketing ability and intelligence: Alok Kapali. I still give Alok a 25% of making it back provided he doesn't continue to either blow or smudge the opportunities that still come his way. Iqbal doesn't even reach double figures in my Book of Chances ATM. My hope for him has dwindled down to Aupee levels.
