WOW that was probably the best match of football I have seen Real Madrid play this season, every single player was fantastic from defence all the way to the attack. To beat the current champions 4-0 at their ground especially when Real Madrid have always had a poor record in Germany kind of says it all for me. After losing against Bayern Munich with penalty misses from Cristiano and Ramos they both made it up for today and took a very nice and sweet feeling revenge
BRING ON THE FINAL HALA MADRID!!

Also unfortunate to see Alonso get booked

So it's Atletico vs Real Madrid Champions League Final. Really nervous about it. Hopefully our players show a lot of heart and pull off a historic win!

Real Madrid were losing 2-1 up until the 92nd when Ronaldo scores a freakish backheel goal. I stopped watching around the 85th minute because i couldn't bear to see Real Madrid lose. It was painful seeing Xabi/Illara together in the midfield. Marcelo and Benzema were poor. Ronaldo fluffed a few very easy chances. In saying that at least we didn't lose which is the main thing. We should have won convincingly though.

Benzema - Only 1 goal in last 12 match..
No matter how he perform in the upcoming matches we really need someone reliable on top.. The whole season team managment backed him no matter what, whats the result? He is back to his usual self in the most crucial time of the season when team needed him most with bale and cr7 injured.. It doesnt matter how good he is in link-up play.. A strikers primary job is to score goal.. He was horrible in the start of the season,In the middle he was fantasic, now again horrible.. Not a real madrid material..

FT: Valladolid 1 - 1 Real Madrid

I'm still undecided on Benzema. On his day he looks like a world beater. And then there are days were he plays shocking football. With Benzema it's not about how good he can play, it's about how consistently he can play cos i don't doubt his abilities at all. But however is he Real Madrid's long term striker? I don't think so. I'd rather we make Benzema a bench player and get someone like a Suarez, Aguero or Rooney who can put in consistent performances and not drift in and out of games.

Benzema in the absence of Ronaldo and Bale should have taken control of the attack but has played poorly. Another option we can consider instead of purchasing another world class striker is playing Bale as a central forward and putting Jese on the right wing. It's worth experimenting especially when Bale flourished in that role at Tottenham and Jese is a fantastic player who deserves more minutes. Btw Morata has looked terrible in the last 2 games. Same as Illara. Ancelotti should not play Illara and Alonso in the midfield at the same time. Casemiro should be given the chance to play the whole game a defensive midfielder.

I can't sleep thinking that if we had beaten Celta Vigo then we would have won the league. Then a treble would have been on the cards.

I think this will be an evenly contested match. Atletico are a quality side and are on a high from winning the league. And Real Madrid were beating teams like Barca and Bayern as a result of both playing a similar style of possessional football. They just hold onto possession for a very long time and pointlessly pass the ball sideways. Real Madrid in that situation took advantage of it and played on the counter since they have the pace of Di Maria, Bale and Ronaldo.

Now this final will be a completely different type of match. Atletico are a very organised defending unit and also like to play off the counter. Real Madrid also like playing off the counter. One team may be forced into playing possessional football and that team could be Real Madrid. And watching Real Madrid play possessional football in league i can say that we will lose the match if we end up playing that way. Other that or it will most likely be a free flowing attacking football match. As a Madrid fan i'm very nervous about this game. If we lose then I will call this season a flop since we choked in the league as well. As a result Carlo might lose his job.

I feel like its the other way around. The kind of miracle run Athletico is in, its hard to see them not winning the champions league to top it all of. It makes a feel good story.

I have been waiting for this moment throughout my whole life. We are champions of Europe ! When all hope was lost, Ramos delivered.
