He is an undervalued player just like how Makele was and look what happened to us after he was sold, we became such a poor team after that. I have a feeling if we sell him the team could potentially have problems and then look back at the end of the season and say we missed Di Marias presence, just hoping it doesnt have to get to that...

Apparently if Di Maria does leave then James Rodriguez will be his direct replacement. James really wants Uncle Flo to sign him because he has been saying stuff in the media like "It would be a dream to play with Ronaldo".

^what are your views on that formation for next season? (considering if Di Maria left). Personally defence in the midfield seems weak and Isco might not be a natural LM so perhaps just keep Xabi Alonso in the starting lineup like last season? I went with Coentrao over Marcelo because Marcelo gets exposed defensively a lot so to play it safe i would rather want Coentrao there. Marcelo can start if we need to be more attacking (like what happened in CL final).

"It's really flattering to know that a club like Madrid, of such magnitude, are interested in me. It would be a dream to sign for the team of my dreams.
"I have a great deal of respect for other clubs and admire the good football they play, but ultimately Real Madrid are Real Madrid. I've always had a thing for them.
"It's a dream, as I said, but also a privilege to play alongside players of such quality, all those world-class stars. It's my life's dream. If this finally happens, I only want to enjoy it.
"Cristiano is a great player, a superstar in capital letters. Cristiano deservedly won the Ballon d'Or, which recognises the best player in the world.
"I'm a very calm person, I try to stay calm at all times. But, to be honest, signing for Real Madrid is a different matter. I'm in the hands of president Florentino Perez," he added with a smile.

Falcao wont be leaving for RM, Monaco has confirmed the rumors. But who knows?

If Kroos does join, my starting XI would be:

Without Di Maria
Diego Lopez; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Coentrao; Modric, Kroos, Alonso/Khedira; BBC.

With Di Maria
Diego Lopez; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Coentrao; Modric, Kroos, Di Maria; BBC.

James Rodriguez can never be Di Maria's direct replacement at Real Madrid. He doesn't have the work ethic like Di Maria as you described earlier. Di Maria used to cover the whole pitch, which wont be happening with James Rodrigues, who is more of a pure #10, just behind the strikers..

I personally don't think RM needs to gamble with him atm.

Exactly what i thought. They play different styles in different positions. The only way i see James fit into the team is if we revert back to a 4-2-3-1. I highly doubt that would happen. I would rather want Pogba than James tbh.

Apparently, Keylor Navas has agreed terms with RM and a deal worth 10mE is on the cards.. This could mean either of Diego Lopez or Iker Casillas could be sold.

Heard this as well. Quality signing imo. Navas had a fantastic season in La Liga and also performed superbly in the World Cup. I reckon it seems like Casillas might be sold. There always has been slight rumours going around that Casillas wants to go to Arsenal and that he wants to be in the first team. If he does go then it will be a sad day for Madrid. This guy bleeds Real Madrid and is almost a club legend considering he has been at Real Madrid his whole life.

Toni Kroos is a great signing and he has already estabalished himself as a world class midfielder. Now i am thinking we have way too many midfielders, personally I hope we keep both Khedira and Di Maria but loan/sell Isco as he is just too good a of a talent to be wasted on the bench at Real. If Navas comes then that means most likely Casillas will be sold but that just feels so weird ever seeing that happen, Casillas is a club legend I hope he still stays..

There has been a lot transfer activity. First of all we have signed both Kroos and Keylor Navas! Secondly apparently James is close to signing with Madrid. I'm not looking too much into that but if we do sign him then it will be a biggest waste of money since there is nowhere he can fit into the team. Thirdly Khedira might end up staying at Real Madrid which is good. Fourth thing is that Morata might go Arsenal instead of Juventus. Fifth is that Casillas might leave.

Khedira will leave for Arsenal and Di Maria with the arrival of Kroos may think of leaving for PSG..

Khedira knows that in a 4-3-3; Modric is a sure starter. That leaves out two slots open. One is for either of Di Maria/Kroos/Isco to battle it out and the second is for Alonso.

If he stays, he has to battle it out with Alonso and Illarra. Illara might have had a disastrous finish to his debut season but IMO he is more suited to a 4-3-3 than Khedira. Khedira is a typical box to box MF with a strong physical presence. His job is to do the dirty work infront of the defence and clean it up, which was perfect for Mou's 4-2-3-1 where he and Alonso were employed as a double pivot. Carlo will be using either a 4-3-3 or a standard 4-4-2. And moreover IMO, among the current players in the squad Illarra is the only one in Alonso's mould. He can play the long diagonal passes from the deep which I don't see in Khedira. And this is very important for Madrid's style as is evident whenever Alonso is absent.

Real Madrid have agreed a terms with James Rodriguez over a £63m from Monaco, according to Spanish daily AS.

I'm assuming that agreeing on personal terms with a particular club doesn't mean jack especially when you already contracted to a different club.

^Is that the 'dream team' that Real Madrid are trying to make? If that is the case then we will get rolled and trampled on in the midfield.
