Tamim's Opening Partner
Who should it be? Against my better judgment, I am inclined to give IK one more series. None of the others are very appealing. Naeem and Mushfiqur both are known to sometimes have trouble against new ball.

the fact that I.Kaedge didn't score big in any of BCB cup matches I think better if he is rested for WI TOur.
Otherwise I always liked TI-IK

I was about to say, "who cares whether they see it or not!" Then I caught myself and thought, "who cares!"

Why not Shakib? He plays both fast bowling and spin well, and your are 85% of the time guaranteeing one end being held up with good strike rotation.

Shakib is better off at 5. And if Kayes gets picked he is likely gonna open no doubt & Nafees will be at no.3.

Junaid is struggling to cement his place in the team. Wasted his opportunities during the Zim tour. Nafees will open that is if Imrul isn't playing. But if Imrul is there. Nafees will be at no.3. That's obvious.

tbh i think try naeem or stick with imrul, mushy is better in the middle order, so is SN, junaid, the only place for him is the #3 spot in tests and even that's not a cemented spot for him.

এ তো সবে শুরু! Just kidding...
2, 3, and 4 are critical and BD team is unsettled at all three right now. I'll open one more poll later for No. 4...

Some of these answers are just silly. It's not possible for just anyone to be an opener - the conditions when opening are generally very different once the ball loses it's shine, and you come down to bat at number 5 and 6. Openers generally spend their whole careers opening. Tamim is a perfect example, and so is Imrul. You can't send someone like Shakib (who is MADE for numbers 5 and 6) to open the batting at the top. In all honesty, he doesn't have the technique to counter the swinging ball, not to mention the gaping hole in our middle order through his absence. Obviously the choices are between Imrul, Nafees and Junaid, and none of them are very good. Especially Junaid. He's awful.

Voted for Imrul.
We just cant throw him away just because he had a bad series. Even Tamim performed poorly in Zim series. Should we remove him too ? Imrul was the highest run getter in the last year. He had performed brilliantly until couple of months ago and always has been a great partner to Tamim. Now throwing him away will not help him rather destroy him mentally. Neither Naeem nor Mushfiq can replace a Genuine Opener. Let him play and keep faith on him. That will help him to come out of his bad patch and to start making runs.
Zunaid -- he is out of form too. So, does not make sense replacing one out of form batsman by another.
Nafees -- He is perfect at no. 3. I would rather have him at no. 3.

Imrul has done enough in ODIs over the last year to deserve another series. Test cricket is another matter.

Nafees. his overall technique is better than kayes. he might not be far ahead of kayes with form, but we dont want a free wicket on the top order, do we?

This is exactly what I would have said.
Also to add, he was our star performer during this year's world cup.
Think he also scored a 90+ against Australia in the third ODI.

Have to wait and see how he performs in the ODIs. Then we can make up our mind for the test.

Top order is a major concern.Who should open with Tamim is a major concern.Definately SN is the best from our lot.But who should bat at #3?Unless we think of a make shift #3 SN is the best choice there. In that case we have no option left than Imrul in ODI.
