Default T20 formula by Alok Kapali

Here's the gist:
First 6 - Settle in.
Next 8 - Singles, occasional boundaries.
Last 6 - Explode like Dynamite.

The key is to rotate the strike whenever available. Play with soft hands and keep the scoreboard ticking. It's the key in every format. Keep the fielders under pressure at all times. It'll also get the bowlers under pressure and they might try to do too much. Once the bad ball comes your way, just punish it. Problem is, you see that our boys just swing at every ball they see and try to hit 4s and 6s every time which isn't necessary unless the bowler is hurling out garbage.

T20 is all about, homework on opposition players, quick decision making, not too much premeditating and changing a shot at the last moment.

as you don't have enough time to settle, you must study how ur opposition bowlers generally bow. then u must plan how to play every particular bowler. in what areas u can rotate strike, in what areas u can hit for boundaries.

then in the game players must program themselves. they have to be prepared of several balls and plan how take full use. they have to pre-plan of different kinds of deliveries and how to treat them and as soon as they realize what type of ball it is execute the type of shot u planned.

t20 is actually for intelligent players who can pre-plan their game by studying before the game about oppositions, while in tests u have the time to study the opposition during the game and build ur innings

Shakib's IPL experience and those strategy sessions with Whatmore, Akram could be handy for the Tigers.
Question is, Will he be an integral part of the decision making core of the team ??
I hope so.

Shakib's main concern in T20 is his Batting. Only if he can follow Kapali's strategies even. I do believe then only he can bat comfortably in T20. Shakib bats in T20 like as if every delivery is the last delivery & needs a desperate Six.

Sakib has been playing since long time but he cann't improve his batting which is really a matter of wory. Normally if a good player who loose his form, can regain his form after few match but Sakib cann't do it.

He has done nothing with the bat even after so many outings. Not a single 50. What's worse is that he continued with his mindless slogging instead trying to build an innings like tendoschate

T20 is all about the in form batsman winning the game. If the inform bat gets out before putting the game away, his team will most likely lose. simple.

its such a short game that even a single wicket (or batsman) can make the difference.

Yes, he was a misery today. I am very dissapointed that he looked really nervous and batted like Shafiul or a bowler.. very upsetting indeed!!
