so who still thinks he shouldn't be playing T20?
I always defend this kid because of his regular contribution specially against the big boys.
Yes he is not naturally a big hitter but he is consistent & delivers under pressure, looks well focused, doesn't choke.
congrats on your 2nd T20I fifty.

He's been 1 of our most consistent batsmen in the team and yet some people wanted him dropped. Hope people realize now that Nasir is one of our key batsmen and would be foolish of us to drop him.

He is a true gem. I think i can rely on him as much i can rely on shakib. He has that in him, very gritty, very nerveless. Although not a natural strokemaker, he always delivers what is expected. Consistent. May be no 4 is a better place for this lad in both odis and t20s.

Nasir proved me wrong, he needs to bat at 3 and then Shakib can come and finish it of at 4.

The best thing about Nasir is his killer instinct. He tries to give his 100% on the field.

He is a great improviser and a great runner. Unlike our most other players he can easily score at 80%+ strike rate without taking much risk.

Don't praise so much by seeing on television ... Didn't give 100% in the field today.. He missed a chance of catching because he was slow to take off...and it was really slow running in that situation....Putting a dive at the end for no reason was deceptive...

Batting wise, he played well, but there was no pressure at that time... He and Mullah ensured that we are effectively out of the match... So I really don't appreciate this innings as a great innings from him... Innings lacked intensity of winning the match..... It was not so inspiring to watch him on the field, don't know how TV made it look like that.

So I don't think that he played a Baper beta kind of innings to be fair...it was A meek surrender. ...... Some swings without pressure, that worked... And the opponents were also a bit reluctant because thy old see the match in pocket... So no praise for an innings of this nature...

Well Played Boy. At least he put a price for his wicket and tried his best. Outcome of the inning is secondary. It was over when NZ scored 191, but unlike some others he did not threw his wkt away.

What?!?! The man has scored 2 T20i 50s in 8 innings at an SR of 120 and an average of 35.4

Who in the lineup is better, much less in the squad? It's not his fault that the rest of the team was not able to score more than 20 at a 110+ SR....

he may not be the most talented but he certainly has a good head on his shoulders and can score runs when others can't.

i don't think it's fair to say nasir was partly responsible for BD being out of this match, he scored 50 runs with a 128 strike rate. he came in at a time when a ton of wickets had fallen and BD was basically already out of the match (not completely but it was a very unlikely win at that point) and he consolidated and went on to score a half century with a strike rate close to 130.

let's not put the blame on nasir here, he did a darn good job, if the top order and lower order had given him any support the match would have been much more closer. tamim getting out for nought started it all, ash did his best to hang in there but wasn't in the best form, shakib did ok until he did something silly, mushy was just completely out of it he's clearly in terrible form and riyad has never been a quick starter he's always needed time at the crease to get going but this time he got out before really getting going. from there zia was just horrible, don't know why he's even in the team, mash on his day does well but obviously it wasn't his day sunny isn't a big hitter and razzak doesn't often do that well with the bat these days either.

nasir was the only one giving the team any chance.

The way Mushfiq got out doesnt suggest that he is out of form. He connected the ball pretty well tbh. He is that flair and intent to it big when needed. It just didnt come off for him today.

As for Nasir i was anxious about his recent performances but i NEVER questioned his ability or said that he shouldnt be in the team. Why? Because he has proven to deliver under pressure and he has that grit about him that the rest of the team doesnt have. He is that uncharacteristic batsmen that is needed in the team. But this innings is overrated. I enjoyed it but really we never looked like winning from the stage we were at but at least Nasir was able to show he can perform.

1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Mohammad Ashraful
3. Shakib Al Hasan
4. Nasir Hossain
5. Mahmudullah
6. Mushfiqur Rahim
7. Ziaur Rahman
8. Mashrafe Mortaza
9. Abdur Razzak
10. Elias Sunny
11.

Lets play with 10 men on the field because Shafiul/Abul make no impact on the field whatsoever.

having zia there is like playing with 9 men. his bowling isn't up to scratch but tbh that isn't even the problem because he doesn't get given the ball that often, the issue is his batting, looks good when he connects but probably more than 50% of the time while going for a big shot he doesn't connect. if they really wanted a pace allrounder in this team they should have tried milon or babu, otherwise pick a big hitting batsman who can bowl a bit since the person filling the spot probably won't be bowling much.

anyway this innings has persuaded me that nasir should be given an extended run as #4, certainly in t20s and one-dayers.
