The injury does not allow him to throw the ball, so we had decided to get him operated on,’ said Debashish Chowdhury, chief medical officer of the BCB.
Now i know why he wasn't fielding at point in SL.

It will take four months for him to throw the ball again but he is expected to be fit for batting in two months’ time,’ said Debashish.
Lucky we don't have any series after zim so should be fit for home series vs NZ

I think he's fine where he is. If the middle order wasn't clicking, I'd say push him up, but we have an OK middle order right now. This is what the batting lineup should look like:

1. Tamim
2. Useless opener
3. Ash
4. Mominul
5. Shakib
6. Mushy
7. Nasir

It's good to have a specialist batsman at #7. Extra cushion for the late in the order pushin'.

Ya he's fine where he is. Give Mominul a run at the #4 spot and see how he does. And then we have Shakib at #5 and Mushy at #6 who are doing pretty well. I'd keep it the way it is.

Maybe that extra cushion could be Mominul? Nasir is stuck to many time in his 40s and 30s with the likes of Gazi and co. But for the time being id leave him alone. Maybe in years to come he will push up.

Move Nasir up gradually, let him experience batting against the newer ball progressively. With his determination and thirst for the game he could make an excellent number 3 batsmen, currently studying tempraments in English, I've found Nasir has something maybe even Shakib doesn't have...

i'd keep nasir at #7 for a while, if he can still average 40+ in tests and get some more hundreds when he's played about 25 matches then maybe think about moving him up. currently he's doing very well at #7, it's hard to believe it's only his 10th match.

In the present time i think Nasir is the most valuable batsmen in the team.

yeah for sure at current nasir is the most valuable, with shakib's return that might change though nasir is doing very well. mushy needs to be more consistent if he's to become the most valuable, tamim needs to play more bigger innings to be put there as the most valuable.

but i'm hoping nasir can score centuries more consistently, don't want him to become mr 50 type batsman.

Shakib and Mominul shouldn't be come follow each other in the line up. That's 2 lefty together. Nasir should split those 2.
