He isn't as good as Bradman like I'd thought.

always felt that he was better suited for top order and longer version (same as Ryiad). He was wasted for his 'chokka Naeem' moniker at the tail end as an expected finisher.
Hopefully this is not a flash in the pan and we'll get 1 or 2 more good scores from him this series.

Yes, that moniker was perhaps the biggest misnomer in history of BD cricket. But, I do agree. I always thought he was better suited for a top order position. Hopefully, he will grab this opportunity and make the position his own. Kudos to Naeem + Sakib for the match deciding partnership.

A heartfelt congrats to Naeem Islam! Very proud of him. True this was a batting pitch but a Test hundred is a Test hundred in the end and he showed an incredible amount of grit and determination in his innings. Obviously there will be questions about whether he can go abroad and do well with his technique but no need to worry about that right now. Last time I checked, England, India, South Africa, and Australia are not very interested in hosting us. Many of our matches will be played at home so let's first worry about our performance at home, which is not very good by the way, and then worry about our performances away from home.
Carry on the good work Naeem and please continue to make big scores.

He has done well for Rangpur in the NCL at the same position. And the way he played those innings, he portrayed good patience and temperament and was duly rewarded.
I think he has reached a stage in his career, where he has come to a conclusion and decided that he is at his best at the number 4 position and his strong suite is the longer format of the game and has gone about his way proving that.
It's all upto him now to continue on the good work and the platform laid by him and make the Test team no.4 his own.

Great knock but disappointed at how he gave his wicket away due to tiredness and lack of fitness.

always believed in naeem but that article tells us what sort of player he is, he is determined and motivated to perform at the international level, to secure a consistent place in the national team. what he has done is what other players should be doing, players need to go back and work on weaknesses, there has to be some improvement otherwise why should they be re-selected? i realise naeem hasn't got the best technique but he's still gone off and worked very hard on his game and for that i respect him.

Late to the party. Congrats my man! Unarguably the greatest athlete ever alive other than Kobe. Sort of Wilt Chamberlain of cricket, if you pause to consider the 100 similarity.

Naeem always had character.....they just did not use him properly. He and Mahmudullah are two of the most sensible/versatile cricketers (albeit with a few limitations) we have got from the Siddons era.

Naeem seems to be the first "Dravid" style batsman that Bangladesh have produced. Hopefully he keeps up this form and attitude to become a real test specialist in that number 3/4 role. He has the technique and the temperament. Could be that a crucial piece of the team has been found with this guy.
