He took part in a 43 run partnership with Nasir, in which he contributed a grand total of THREE. They are in the team as batsman and all-rounder respectively.
Playing sensibly and conservatively, or even for time(which is what it looks like now) doesn't mean you can't take a single.
I would have thought our coaches would have told him, the best way to survive and play a long innings is, to from time to time rotate the strike, it prevents the bowler from settling into a rhythm. Instead he is letting the West Indies completely dictate the situation.

Some of us well predicted that the wickets will be tumbling as soon as the covers came off,,, thats exactly what happened.. this match is going for a draw.. No point in even thinking otherwise, WI cannot win this match no matter how you look at it!!
