Tamim for me

Has a double century, several hundreds a few of them away from Bangladesh. He is comfortable against spin and swing. Looks really elegant on the eye. Only issue is not using soft hands too often

Yep

Tamim by far and away

He's an opener and he's getting better and getting into his prime now

Tamim is marginally behind and has to see off new ball.

For me it is Tamim, but I also think Shakib also not so behind. He was averaging around 50 for last couple of years.
I am conflited about third place. Mushy or Momin are tied for now but current form is giving Mushy an edge.

Mominul has been a little under ordinary in the last few matches, posing the question: has he lost his mojo?

Mominul "Bradman" Haque followed by Shakib al "Awesome" Hasan and then Tamim the "Murderer" Iqbal, lastly Mushfiqur "Emotional" Rahim.

It has to be one of these four.
Habibul "the Basher" Bashar deserves honorary mention.

I was more pointing out average doesn't show all the story

Tamim is world class and can bat in any condition and is reliable, whereas Shakib is a world class all rounder, he's a reliable performer in the match, but he doesn't always deliver with the bat

I still have him second

Bashar could have been up there, but he was put at 3 and his style suited the middle order not top, further he was a reflex player who played most of his career in his 30s, reflex players are in the peaks in their 20's

I certainly think if all things are considered tamim and shakib have to be the ones fighting it out for top spot, mushfiq has been a massive underachiever for most of his career, he should be averaging mid 40's with his talent

Mushy was averaging around 17-18 in first couple of years of his career and that is bringing his overall average down.
He is averaging around 45 from 2015-17 though.

Tamim.

However the bar is still pretty low. New breed of players will break the record pretty soon.

Bashar might still be top 5. I've got tamim, mushy, shakib, mominul and then possibly habibul...the first 3 in no order but probably either tamim or mushy as number 1.

I will go with Tamim. He is good both with the pace and the spin. He is also the leading run scorer at this moment in tests.
