So his personal milestone takes precedence over the need of the team.
He was the senior partner, Shahadat had negotiated the previous over pretty well. Surely he has to realize, if he sticks around, not only will the team benefit, but by default, his personal milestone would be met too.
I know it's harsh having a go at a youngster, specially one playing only his 2nd test, not to mention, he is the 3rd highest scorer in the innings, but he HAS to know the rest of the innings depended on him, and the tailenders batting around him.
Just disappointed he threw away such a promising innings in that manner.

231 all out.
The innings ends the way it started, on a sour note.
Only 253 overs left in the test match, we are so screwed.

a second ago or so before the wicket,
Shamim was saying how the #10 and #11 was "hanging around"only a couple of overs and then...
now Shamim saying sorry state of affairs.

We need to get them below 200 , which is not possible . The pitch still a flat road . On top of that we have a world class pace bowling attack led by Shahdhat that is bound to leak a four every over . Only hope is Shakib , maybe Naseer and some brain farts by the indies Batsman.

if they get anything over 250...It will be extremely difficult to win.

Blaming Shamim wont solve Bangladesh Crickets problem,,, the stats are right, Bangladesh played 67 odd overs,, as the average says; We scored around 250 as per our average,,, All the players played to their averages barring few.. I hope Bangladesh can wrap WI in a miraculous way to under 300 to chase,, And we do defy the average and show some guts next time to ( and dont send Imrul to open, send Naim or Nafees)..
