You really expected a win after a complete collapse from our top order in the 1st innings? I just think it's ridiculous that people are complaining about a draw here. We really could've lost this match had it not been for Nasir and Mominul's innings. Even then we weren't that far in the lead. That's how bad our top order did. Even then look at our top order in the 2nd innings. Not even 1 batsmen from the top 4 scored a 50 in the match. So we really should be relieved that we didn't lose this.

I bet if they bowled 10 overs,, we wouldve lost atleast 3 more wickets!! Nevertheless, its not a bad start for the tour,, the kids shoud now have the confidence to win matches against this team.. lets see if Jahirul, Mominuls retain their form..

Yup they pretty much are. If you take out Tamim from the national team then it's pretty much the same thing. Junaid and Jahurul are pretty much the same thing as Nafees and Imrul. That's where we're going to have to find some quality top order batsmen or else more of these performances will happen.

Congrats to the boys for such an commendable performance in the first test.
They went on to the match without any practice on those pitches and batting display of Mominul and Nasir was simply superb.
What I loved about Nasir the most was his energy, dedication and professionalism.
He played the Dhaka test which concluded on the 2nd of Nov, most probably got in a flight on that very night or early next morning, which means he arrived in WI on the 3rd or 4th of Nov.
Then again on the 5th, he was back on the field for the whole day.
Come 6th, walks in with the team looking down the barrel at 59/4 and WoW !! What an innings !!
Thats what you call a performance.
He is definitely seems like in the "Shakib" class.
Very good knock by Mominul too. A ton and a half, specially on a alien pitch, on a backdrop of the usual team scenario was simply inspiring. He is definitely one of the bright prospects of tomorrow.
Shuvo was impressive too.
Rock, ZS, Jahirul and Hom was a big let down.
Mega disappointment.

Nasir is breathing down Riyadh's neck. There's room for one-off spinning batter who bowls a fair bit in the squad.

No not really. When Riyad comes back, one of Rokibul or SN should move over to give him space back in the top order, Nasir will be batting at probably number 7. Riyad made his case for the longer version a while ago. He started lower down the order and worked his way up. I don't see Nasir as Riyad's competition in the longer version. Maybe in ODI but not in Test.

agreed, just because they both can bowl, shouldn't mean there can only be one place in the team between them. They both could get in the team solely based on their batting. Riyad has the second highest Test batting average in the team so it's inconceivable that he would be dropped. If anything it would mean he would have to move up the order, but this should be happening anyway, he shouldn't be batting at number 7/8 when he has been one of integral members of the Test batting line-up.

Unless Riyad moves up in the order. No.4 is non-existent. So, is no.3.

we saw Nasirs before. Lets not start comparing him yet. Today we are comparing Nasir with Riyad, after the paki series we will start comparing Nasir with Shakib!
Riyad is one of the top batsman in our line up. he is also a breakthrough master. There have been a number of occasions where he took vital break through s, its just Shakib barely utilized him to his full potential. Remember he picked 8 wickets on his debut test away

HMM!! Some people just make comments without even knowing the player. Apparently Mithun played very well as wicket keeper-batsmen. He looked solid when he batted.
He was better than Rok. Junaid, Jahirul and Hom (The chuper chtars ov "A" Team)
I know nothing about cricket
