Angry Drop Imrul Kayes, enough of his BS batting

His batting is pathetic, he scored most of his runs from edges. He wouldn't even find a place in the Canada side, he was lucky to score a few runs in the WC, but that too against minnows. Once again he proved he is not fit for International cricket.

Scoring 5 of 41 balls, Shariar Nafees is back in form and SN and TI opener is good enough, we don't need 3 openers. Along with ROK, Imrul the fool should be dropped.

Lol one bad innings and you want to drop our highest ODI run scorer from last year and best batsman from the world cup? If so England should drop Swanny after his relatively poor showing at the world cup

Highest run scorer at what SR? Are we playing test cricket, are we playing cricket that was played back in 20 years ago? Guy gets his run by default, he is piss poor against good pace bowling.

It was the most painful part of the innings. Wasted opportunity to score 240+ even when Tamim, rakibul, and shakib failed.... we could score 240+ only if Vimrul would be out quicker.

Two back to back poor innings and you are ready to drop. Go back to the matches prior to that and go further back. You had him as your hero then. An off form patch can happen, provided it is a patch and not something else like Ash. He has done enough to merit many more inclusions.

Imrul hasn't done anything in this series. He sucks against quality pace. He proved it yet again. He got out twice today for only 5 runs from 41 balls, do we really need 3 openers in the side. I think S. Nafees and Tamim will do fine and Riyadh can come one down. Imrul wastes too many balls and puts unwanted pressure, he sucked in the 1st odi as well.

Maybe the word Rest is better than Drop here! Imrul Is definitely capable but off form. So give him rest and bring him back later

I had him as my hero, that's why his innings was the most painful for me to watch. Also he got pwned by Shariar Nafees. So, Abirz 1, me 0.

hypotheticals will be hypotheticals

Perhaps we could have had 240+
perhaps lee would have run through the middle order and we wouldn't have crossed 100
Whatever allah does is for the best. 5 off 41 is poor, but one poor game doesn't merit dropping, The likes of Anwar have scored 1 off 32 against weaker aust attacks.

People wanted to drop shafiul-then came ireland and england
People wanted to drop mushfiq-well something happened today

people wanted to drop raquibul-lol the people may be right here

Couldn't agree more, didn't like his approach at all. He was striking the ball nicely but straight to the fielders, I don't understand why? Riyadh and Mush played brilliantly and found gaps rotated the strike, even Nafees played better than Imrul, being out of the side for a long time. Imrul needs to man up and improve his batting approach.

I'm not saying he didn't played badly today-but he's the best we have and one bad innings isn't enough to drop him. Nafees played well today but Imrul has been far more consistent against good pace attacks-yes I count england as a good pace attack, even when imrul scored 100 against the kiwis in NZ, that proved I think he's ready for that role of permanent opener. Slow strike rate? yes but good average and that's what we need for BD until we can come up with guys who can maintain a decent strike rate and average. He needs to learn to rotate the srtike though.

sure hypotheticals will be hypotheticals... and sure you may not drop a player based on few bad performance... but it was one of the most painful innings to watch while watching 2:00 AM at night regardless how much spinning anyone to do to make it more acceptable performance. A 5 runs in 41 balls will always be "a complete garbage performance" to me, regardless whatever the game condition is or whoever a players is.

I am ok when an opener scores a duck once in a while, but 5 runs 41 balls pretty much kill any hope to score a decent score by the rest of the players.

Its disappointing. Every time we take a step forward, the next step usually is two steps in the opposite direction. Imrul and Tamim were giving us quite brisks starts up the order and thats how they should be playing. 40+ after 10 overs with a wicket down is a decent start. 5 runs from 41 balls is horrible even with current tests standards and heck this is an ODI, the pressure it enforces on the whole team is such that we are not the best at handling.

Disappointing.

That is not the point here, he has a HISTORY of a poor SR and today it was brutally exposed, we are not playing cricket that was played back 30 years ago, god maybe even 50 for imrul. Today a SR of even 90 is considered the normal, this idiot could not rotate the strike, never mind hit a boundary. He gets his runs by default by staying at the crease and relying on his partners, but we dont have the resources to drop him, he is at the bottom of a long list of problems

Imrul rocks. He is hard working player. 1/2 poor innings doesn't mean he should be out of the team.
