So CF's khocha got me this flash of insight. I think best way to find out who knows or not know anything about cricket is by popular vote.

Here's the scale (may have cricket background or not):

10--- Encyclopedia Knowledge of cricket, facts and stats with thorough understanding of mechanics, dynamics, theory, tactics and psychology of the game
9----- Cricket Genius except he has yet to travel the extra mile to reach the potential
8------ Truly a cricket savant and has almost prediction capability of guessing who will shine on a day or who will get more wickets or be m-o-m
7------- Akin to a cricket PHD, can analysis and dissect the game like writing a dissertation
6 ------ formidable, a hero in ftp and can come up with a good squad and be on the money on most points about the games, also slight "blink!" like ability to have an intuitive understand of the game as well as body mechanics, shot selection, pitch behavior of the game; can beat Razabda in cricket panja;
5 ------ is halfway there, made progress, knows the fundamental aspects of the game, participates in forum with articles, newspaper cuttings etcetera
4 ----- meh wrote one or two articles or blogs but yet to understand the fluxions of the game especially pitch behavior, spin theory, field placement, body mechanics, shot selection, etcetera
3 -----laughable, thinks fine leg is cameron diaz in mask; can't differentiate his googly from chinaman
2 ----- Poor; his insight mostly consists of meaningless one liners
1----- Thinks Dilscoop is a Sri Lankan romcom about a man getting his heart scooped by local Chaiti who runs after a rich but khyat boy working in 7-11 in US

Goes up and down from 5 to 10 depending on the time of day and how Bangladesh team is doing. Most often at 7, IMHO.

I don't believe there is anyone on this earth who would rate consistently a 9 or 10, but we might have a couple of people who are 8 most of the time.

since i don't know severus well enough to rate him, i will rate dilu. dilu gets a 6.5 from me. he would have ben a 7 but i don't like him so i will dock off .5!

Since I am unratable and can pretty much rate anyone i choose...i will choose King Zunaid. He gets a solid 9. Of course no one is 10. But what scares me even more is Nadim who may be 5 will be when he grows to be Zunaid's age....

myself- varies from 5 to 7 on a good day(Alhamdulillah!), otherwise sometimes it is close to 1
