They really should bring Mominul Haque in for the 2nd Test even if he doesn't play. His domestic team is already out of the tournament so it's not like he's missing any matches. It would be good for him to get a feel of how being in the national team is.

Ashraful has been confirmed out from the second test but what difference does it make, we will heading towards another innings defeat. In my opinion they should have kept him in just because he was selected got the Test series.

pls bro, keep some hope in your heart, yes very likely it will be another defeat but not necessarily an inn defeat & regardless the result it's good if the selectors have dropped Ash even though they made a big mistake picking him at the 1st place.

I would prefer Robiul in place of Shafi. He has more swing than Shafi.

Robiul is ordinary, when he bowls he looks like a part time bowler.
Shafi has bowled well in the ODIs I thought.

Very unprofessional of the management to dangle Ash along. Hajar hok, manush to .. ebong this is non-professional behavior. Poor guy got strung along and then let down. Shame on BCB. And what does Law mean "this sort of thing" in "this part of world"? Ekhanai to dhora khailo - je ai coach amader hobey naa konodin - it will always be them and us with this guy.
from cricinfo:
There was confusion surrounding Bangladesh's squad for the second Test, with regards to the status of Ashraful. He had checked into the team hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday and was among the fourteen players who practiced at the Shere Bangla Stadium on Thursday morning. Also, coach Stuart Law had said Ashraful was, to his knowledge, part of the squad.
However, the selection panel's list, which was yet to be approved by BCB president AHM Mustafa Kamal as is mandatory, did not include Ashraful's name. Eventually, Kamal approved the squad on returning to Dhaka after the ACC meeting in Singapore late on Thursday evening, but the delay raised questions of professionalism.
The amount of time the coaching staff spent working on Ashraful during the training session, and Law's statements, served to add to the confusion. "As far as I know, he [Ashraful] is in the squad," Law said. "That's why he's here at practice. We haven't been told anything different. Maybe it is speculation, that sort of thing goes on in this part of the world."
Later on Thursday, the BCB's cricket operations committee asked Ashraful to leave the hotel while he was signing up with a new club for the Dhaka Premier League on the last day of the inter-club transfers. Shafiul Islam arrived at the hotel in the evening from Bogra, his hometown. The coaching staff wasn't informed of the switch and got to know of it only after it was reported on television channels and news websites.

Natok aro cholbey. BCB - er maney hoi matha gorom hoey geche/ Did they sign a long term contract with Law? Get Dada from Kolkata to teach batting. That would be good. (From Prothom Alo News below)

He would be better than Naeem IMHO. He won't get a call due to lack of "mama" in BCB though!

such changes, and uncertainty until 1 day before game is not good for team morale either. bcb should know better - team building!

and apparently one of the guy in bcb said - a senior player like him should not be in 14 if he is not in 11. respect? c'mon - this is pathetic - he may be bad in cricket now, but still this in public lynching! very sad.

Bangladesh team have a manager. Remember that room controversy during national team training in Chittagong?
What is he really doing? Shouldn't he play a role remove confusion in the team (coaches, players, who is dropped, who is new, who should be in with the team, who should not be with the team, handling reporters, etc)
